Hi! Thank you for writing a review. We're sorry to hear about this. Our laminate flooring is more resistant than a traditional hardwood floor. Chipping should not occur with this flooring. However, it is important to protect your floor by using felt pads on your furniture (couch, chairs, etc.), as otherwise scratches can occur by dragging furniture. Thank you, Select Surfaces

Because our laminates have an AC4 rating, chipping should not occur with normal residential use. However, it is important to follow the instruction guide when installing the planks to prevent damage. Also, while the planks are water resistant due to their tight locking system, the inside of the planks are not, meaning dropping water on the seams before they are installed will cause damage.
