Great Addition To Rob You Blind

Bought this system as a home warming gift to myself had cameras installed and low and behold nvr doesn't even power on great system to spend money on as well as camera installation for a piece of crap right out of the box brand never never used. Unfortunately I didn't get the extra in-store warrant neither can get customer support from swann you make great reliable crap.

Love this POE system

POE cameras are the way to go. System was easy to install, though I did have to make up 4 Ethernet cables of my own since those in the box are only 60 ' and I had 4 cameras that needed longer. One installed, I downloaded the Homesafe app and my DVR was immediately detected. No complaints thus far.

Great picture!

4K cameras have a great view and wide angle. Covers a lot of area per camera. It is also nice to have audio from each camera. The only negative is that each camera must plug directly into the NVR. A true IP camera should support plugging into my network switch instead of the NVR.

NVR system

Finally got it up and running. Install was simple. Only issue I had was with two of the cables that came with the system. When you open up the box you will find the cables wound up very tight and smashed down to fit in the box. Pretty sure it's breaking the conductor. I had to fish two new cat5 cables and the last two cameras are up and running now. Contacted support and they basically replied that it was my install and closed the ticket. Pretty sure I read someone else's review and they stated that they had the same issue. Other than that, picture is clear and working like it should. Just keep some cat5 on hand if you are planning on installing this setup.

2 Years and Solid Performance

Everything has been working very well since installation. One camera had intermittent signal loss, replacing the network cable fixed the issue. Maybe don't crush the coiled wire when packing! Footage is true 4K, NightVision is great. Software is reasonable and parsing through footage relatively straight forward. Just bought a larger 12GB internal hard drive for the unit as we get only 16 days of recording with the 2GB (6 4k feeds & one 1080). Thats when I realized the unit only supports up to 6gb. Hopefully a firmware update can allow bigger capacities.

Great quality during the day but very poor at night. It takes forever to pull up the play back on my apple phone. When I get a notification motion detection alert, I'm not able to view it on my play back on my phone until hours later. Does anyone know how to fix this? Customer service and the chat is awful. Any question you have, they tell you to read the product guide. So if you buy this system, download the product guide and try to troubleshoot to save time. My clock is always off by an hour after resetting this several times. Any fix for this as well? Great job Sam's for shipping this item.

If you are having issues with the night vision image, we would recommend the use of an IR flood light or some kind of light source to produce more ambient lighting. The camera has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves. Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. Day 1

Although I haven't had system running long everything seems to be running as it should and was easy to install. I could of picked a cooler day to crawl in attic but why wait for that like a smart man would of. Cables were short on 3 runs so I had to buy extra Cat5 cable. Setup was easy and connecting with iphone was painless. Ask me again after I've played with it a bit.

Awesome machine

Glad we bought it, but we can't seem to find anyone willing to sell us the four missing ones for our 168580 system. Please contact us again. Costco dropped the ball again and supply seems to be the issue. We want the 4K bullets with the white lights if possible or at least the bullets that are compatible.
