These hands-free trash cans are so convenient to use. They are made well with stainless steel and seem to last a good 3-4 years before the mechanism wears out. I have tried other brands but the Nine Stars seems to be a better can overall. It's sturdy and has a good size opening for throwing trash in and fits a kitchen trash bag well enough that when you pull it out, it is FULL. And...the batteries last forever!!

Only had it a couple of weeks, but we like it. Looks great, functions like a trash can with an automatic lid should. The lid goes up sometimes just when you walk by, but not a big deal. 5th star will be earned when I can tell if it stands the test of time.

I bought this to replace a step can and boy was my husband happy. He said it's the best thing I ever bought. People need to read the manual because the top of the bag stays inside the can for a sleek look. I am ava smitten by this expensive looking trashcan. Mine came in pristine condition.

I had bought my daughter the 13 gallon itouchless and it works much better. This one takes up to 4 seconds to open. So you stand their with your hands full of trash waiting for the lid to open. I've put new batteries in it so I know it's not that. I now just leave the lid open and the sensor turned off. Much quicker than wasting my time waiting for it to open. Looks nice though but what I paid for it not worth it.

This is the second one or this model I have purchased. The first one worked very well until the hinge on top broke off. When I received this latest unit I installed the batteries and then set the top on the main body, but it didn't seem to fit properly. Upon further exam the back of the trash can itself seemed to be bulging out and the top wouldn't go over it. I lifted the top and it appeared misshapen. I thought "no problem, I'll just bend it back to the proper shape. I was amazed how flimsy the material was. It appears the material used is thinner or of a poorer quality than the previous model I had. Bottom line is, whenever I place the top on I have to push on the side and force it under the top. I don't expect this unit will last very long. Won't buy another.

This is a very sleek looking garbage can. We are replacing a similar can that we had for over 6 years. These can run anywhere from $100-$200 in other stores. I was skeptical when I saw this one for so much less... but so far, we love it as much as our last one! The design on this one is nicer as well.

I was reluctant to pay so much for a trash can but was also tired of bags slipping into trash can, fumbling with the trash lid, smelly trash can etc. so invested in this shiny trash container. So far I am pretty pleased. The trash bag stays in place nicely. I haven't mastered the wave of my hand to trigger the can to open so sometimes it takes a wave or two. It is very quiet and it holds a lot of trash and also its not ugly. I am curious to see how long the batteries will last. All in all I think its a good investment. Time will tell.

The product did work, but the battery holder lid always fell off into the garbage. I finally had to tape it shut. It goes through tons of batteries (usually three a week) and sometimes i put fresh batteries in it and it barley opens or opens real slow.

After six months of use, I am now purchasing as gifts for three grown daughters. Everyone likes this trash can including my two young grandsons. This thing holds lots of trash and fills up to the top, no wasting of space when you pull the bag out. My old container would be half empty when I pulled the bag out. It is easy to change out the bag, holds in smells good, and is so easy to use. I just wipe it down with a antibacterial wipe to clean, and it looks nice in the kitchen. Highly recommend this product.

This is the perfect trash can. It holds lots of garbage. I really like the ring that's at the top where the trash bag is placed around so that it will not slip down into the trash can. The automatic lid opening makes it fun to throw things away. It works great. Very much worth the money. It's a good investment.
