I've only used these trash cans for a couple of weeks but up to this point I have had no problems with them and they are working like they are suppose to. They look nice and work well for the money I paid for them and as much as I use a trash can which is several times a day. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a cheap stainless steel trash can, the only thing you have to watch for is if you use one for recycling like I did and don't put a bag in it because of that I took it directly outside to my trash can and was dumping into my curbside cart when I realized just how weak the walls of the trash can are, I didn't bend them but it could easily happen so I would say be careful if you dump your trash can directly into another because you don't want a nice crease in your new can. Anyway for the price I think the quality matches well and they do what they are intended to.

WHAO!!! this trash can is priced to sale. I've bought it at regular price and I thought it was cheap already. Have had it for a good four months nows, still running on the same set of batteries! This can didn't meet my expectations, it beats it way over my expectation!! The style is great, the height is just~o~perfect. You could say i'm in love with it!! If your read my title, I mention I saved alot, well because I bought one of those pricey cans, you know the ones with same funtion as this one but costed alot more. I don't want to throw any names out their but it starts with an "i", now days theirs so many i's, iphones, ipads, ipods, and something like "i don't have to touch". Well you get the point (hopefully), so that can cost about twice the price as this one and "OMG" did i had a hard time with it. (Lets me alway from my complaints on that can, it'll be too much to say). "Living Much Better" With this hands free trash can, kitchen chores have never been more easier. My two hands would be holding a bunch of trash can and guess what? the lids opens and just when you empty your trash in to the can. it closes.... what an amazing unit! Something to sure with you! So I was over at my sisters home the other day, after dinner, I helped out did some cleaning. SO; I grabbed a bunch of trash on my hand and standed by her trash can for like a minute. I frozed and BOOOM I'd realize this is not my automatic can. Hey, thanks for reading, I'd totally recommend this company's line of trash can. I have about three different cans from this company and all of it running very well.

Only had it a couple of weeks, but we like it. Looks great, functions like a trash can with an automatic lid should. The lid goes up sometimes just when you walk by, but not a big deal. 5th star will be earned when I can tell if it stands the test of time.

I bought this to replace a step can and boy was my husband happy. He said it's the best thing I ever bought. People need to read the manual because the top of the bag stays inside the can for a sleek look. I am ava smitten by this expensive looking trashcan. Mine came in pristine condition.

I have purchased three of these and after less than 6 months none of them are working. On one can the plastic gear that operates the hinge broke. On another, the plastic lid broke where the hinge attaches. And on the third, the sensor just stopped working. I like the handsfree idea but just not this cheap brand again. I will try ordering the touchless brand.

I was reluctant to pay so much for a trash can but was also tired of bags slipping into trash can, fumbling with the trash lid, smelly trash can etc. so invested in this shiny trash container. So far I am pretty pleased. The trash bag stays in place nicely. I haven't mastered the wave of my hand to trigger the can to open so sometimes it takes a wave or two. It is very quiet and it holds a lot of trash and also its not ugly. I am curious to see how long the batteries will last. All in all I think its a good investment. Time will tell.

I had bought my daughter the 13 gallon itouchless and it works much better. This one takes up to 4 seconds to open. So you stand their with your hands full of trash waiting for the lid to open. I've put new batteries in it so I know it's not that. I now just leave the lid open and the sensor turned off. Much quicker than wasting my time waiting for it to open. Looks nice though but what I paid for it not worth it.

Received it at home. No scratches, or dents. Very easy setup of just placing 3 C batteries into it. Functions great, the sensor sometimes detects and opns lid if we walk past it. Can scare you at night when you don't expect it. Trash capacity is great for my house. Would recommend if looking for a reasonably priced garbage can. Pic shows red light sensor lit up. It flashes to detect.

This is a very sleek looking garbage can. We are replacing a similar can that we had for over 6 years. These can run anywhere from $100-$200 in other stores. I was skeptical when I saw this one for so much less... but so far, we love it as much as our last one! The design on this one is nicer as well.

We had the DZT-42-1 and were fairly satisfied except it opened when you walked by or if the cat (yes, even a cat) would walk close with his tail up in the air. It also closed even while food was being scraped into it. This DZT-50-9 is better looking, far less likely to open when walking by, and stays open while plates are being scraped into it. It also hold more and has a larger opening. A big improvement without a bigger price.
