Pennington fuel pellets

Worst pellets I have ever burned. I bought two bags just to try them and they burn horribly and barely produce any heat

better than comparible brands, great price,

can't beat the price. starts & burns better than the others, only negative was there was more ash than the other brands. the product is great but I went to two walmarts & neither one had any on hand & they couldn't tell me if they would have more.

horrible, terrible, awful, worthless pellets!!!!

i bought these on sale for $4.75 a bag. thought i was getting a deal. they are the worst all around pellet ive ever used . ive had pellets burn hot but produce alot of ash (stove chow) and had other produce liitle ash but not enough heat (green supreme). if youre looking for a pellet that burns cold and leaves a pile of ash you have found them in pennington pellets. i run two pellet stoves in my house a comfort built hp 22 and enlgander pdv. they run the same with these pellets. during the colder months i usually run a hardwood pellet from our local lumber store that produces 9000 BTU @ 7.08/bag, and when its warmer ill run the tractor supply pellets which are pretty decent. one thing ill never do again is buy and run pennington pellets thru my stoves again. i dont if theyre free. they still wouldnt be worth the trouble.

A gigantic bag of sawdust!

Horrible. Bought to use with my Solo Stove Mesa with the wood pellet adapter. Purchased based on good reviews, but I have a few pellets and about 80% sawdust. And that's even digging down into the bag, not just the surface. Thankfully it wasn't expensive, but there's clearly a reason for that.

Walmart pellets

I've been buying Walmart pellets ( 5 to 6 bags a week ) for the past 3 weeks . Not the pellets listed on their website but pellets made in Maine. My stove was acting up I thought ,but it was the pellets. Today I finally got the stove to run to find out that the pellets were the cause of my problem . The pellets were wet and were hard to to get to light up. I just oepned a bag I bought today and some of the pellets were all swollen up from water , no hole in the bag just big swollen pellets of saw dust . The rest of the pellets in the bag seem to be damp. I guess I better find another source for pellets. The bag had no manufacture on it only that they were made in Maine . I guess when you go cheap you get what you pay for .

Get's the job done!

This winter (2015) we purchased pellets on 4 different occassions from Sam's.; 2 times through internet in store pickup. Nature's Heart seems to generate more ash and clinkers thereby requiring more frequent deep cleaning, heat generated is acceptable. I would purchase Nature's Heart again if the price were competitive! I'd like to point out one issue with pre-order/assistance with loading and that is the tendency for Sam's to slip in damaged bags (less than a full bag), some of which appeared to have water damage. This happened with both pre-orders, especially with our last batch.
