Not for Englander stoves

Pellets do not work very well in my stove. Too much ash and sawdust. Clogged my stove up. $5.00 a bag and I can get better pellets for less.

Pennington wood pellets

I have used this brand before. I usually buy another brand because of cost as I am on a fixed income but I buy about 30-50 of this brand to use for real frigid days because they seem to have less dust and burn hotter than other brands. I used to buy them at a local elevator but they no longer carry them so I researched them and discovered I can buy them at Walmart. My only complaint is that I tried to order them online to be sent to my local store in Troy for pickup and my order was cancelled so I had to go to Dayton to get them. Also you can only order 12 bags at a time on line so I had to place more than one order to get the quantity I wanted.

Frozen Bags

I order 6 bags and 2 out of the 6 were frozen , turned into powder!! Now I have to bring them to the store to exchange them for 2 more bags!! The order people who put these orders together should of notice that and not ship them to me!! The other items were fine!!

Good pellets

I have bought from Lowes, Home Depot, True Value, among other random stores and these pellets are as good or batter than anything I have used before. The price was in line with the others, if not a little cheaper. I ordered two orders of 12 bags online and picked them up the next day. If you want a whole ton, it's probably easier to buy from the stores who sell by the pallet.

Hated my stove until I got Pennington pellets. With other pellets I had to chip away at tar-like deposits in the bottom of the burn pot. Auto start rarely worked. Problem was resolved by these pellets, they burn clean. I now like my stove, no joke!

Very disappointing

We bought the Pennington Pellet brand and from the fist minute we felt something is different. Way less of heat and ridiculous more ash. I would say 10 times at least. Never was our ash box full after 5 days of using. Usually Sam's club has good quality products. Now we are back to our old brand Lignetics wood pellet fuel. They are $1.50 more expensive but the quality it's worth.

Nothing but bark!

I bought a pallet of 50 bags. After burning 5 bags my glass was so black you could not see the flame any more. The pellets are a dark grey and my augger stopped feeding them. Had to call the company that installed my stove last year and when they came out, there was a sap build up that burned out my motor. I will never buy this brand again. Fortunately my repair was covered under my maintenance plan.
