Amazing for Small Animal Litter

It's important that rats, rabbits, etc. have hardwood litter (if wood litters are used) instead of softwoods like pine or cedar, and this stuff has been great so far! It lasts for a good long time, and who could argue with the price? This stuff is great! Definitely helps us run our small animal rescue a little more affordably!

Good Pellets if Walmart Didn't Store Incorrectly

The pallet of pellets from which I purchased 12 bags from, was stored outside and not under any covered roof. So yeah, guess what some of the bags had water that infiltrated them although still sealed. These bags have very small sized pin holes in them intentionally I assume to let moisture out. However when not stored in dry locations moisture will get in. So be cautious.

Surprisingly A Nice Pellet But It's Early Yet!

Walmart was never on the top of my list for wood pellets for my stove, but after calling around NE PA and reading up on the reviews that other stores carried I decided to try my luck with Pennington Natures Heat Pellets. I've had all the brands carried by Agway, Tractor Supply, Home Depot, Lowes and even a local guy in my woods. This brand Pennington is a hard wood pellet, you can tell when you open it and look at it's dark wood grain color. When dumping into the hopper it has little dust, another tall tale sign you've got good pellets. Lastly, it burns hot (however, I've not gotten into cold temp. so I may be back with further updates) and it leaves little ashes. The price point for all the pellets from all the big box stores are about the same. I loaded these onto my utility trailer and bought the whole skid. If they continue to burn hot, with little ash and dust I will keep buying them. But as we all know often you get on a run of pellets you like, and they're gone often replaced with something inferior but for the same money. $260-5 for the Ton. I wish you all good luck. Make sure smoke/ and Carbon detectors are working, stickers on the bedrooms for the fire department to identify. Be Safe you'll!

Poor Quality Pellets

I'm glad i only bought 4 bags to try out before buying a ton. The bags had excessive sawdust in them. The pellets would not slide down the hopper, the fire quality and heat was weak and the stove had difficulty igniting due to the Crinkles created in the fire pot. Our pellet stove is our main source of heat and the poor quality of these pellets made for a troublesome few days.

Burns Clean & Hot

My second year using Pennington Pellets. I have used pellets from every place possible that supplies them locally and found these to be the best. They have low ash, they have a high heat output and last longer than other brands. The biggest downfall about these is that WalMart will not let you have a loaded pallet of them! You have to watch them open the pallet, most times they cut into the sealed bags while doing this, and have them load each bag one by one by one. Then you have to unload each bag at home, one by one by one.

Hard to buy

This is the third time I'm trying to purchase this item. The first two were canceled one day later. It seems you can do better. Yimin
