The most beautiful picture I've ever seen

I have had the LG 4K UHD OLED E8 for about three weeks now and it's so incredible for movies and video games. The picture quality really is amazing. The picture-on-glass design is crazy thin and beautiful. There are a few things I haven't figured out yet. When the TV is showing a screen saver of art and photographs, there is a message that says, No Signal (referring to the HDMI ports, I assume) I haven't been able to figure out how to turn that off so that I can enjoy the art slideshow/screensaver. The other strange thing is that if I turn on my Xbox One X, the PS4 Pro also automatically turns on. I'm not sure why that is, or how to fix it but it's annoying. Also, I can turn the TV off with my voice via Google Assistant but I can't turn it on for some reason.

Happy camper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went a bit over budget for this model, but wanted a set that would be up with technology for a long time to come. So far I haven't been into the advanced menu, but just plug and play has far exceeded my expectation.

Perfect picture, beautiful design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this TV. The picture on glass is very classy and the picture quality is outstanding. I was worried that the built in soundbar would be lacking but it has great range and balance after running its internal calibrator.

Watching TV is simply just fun again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new LG 65-inch OLED65E8PUA is without any doubt whatsoever the best entertainment investment I've ever made. I enjoy the upscale lower-resolution video sources which have excellent clarity and also a wide range of color compatible content. The a9 processor certainly enhances sharpness and depth and gives more accurate colors for the ultimate in picture quality. The OLED display panels have brighter and more self-illuminating pixels which deliver a perfect black and intense color and make movies and sports more thrilling to watch. It just makes watching television for my family fun again.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We pulled the plug and purchased the LG OLED 65E8PUA TV and was delivered this week. I must say I am very impressed with the picture quality both in 4K and in HD. It is a definite improvement over our old one. Our older TV was HD and although the picture was good the new LG certainly improves upon HD picture significantly. As to 4K movies vs HD movies; there is just is no comparison. The colors are rich and vibrant and the depth of field is phenomenal. My wife says it is like being in the theater. Regarding the TV sound. It comes with it own speakers and yes they are adequate but IMO does not do the 4K movies justice as you cannot get the benefit of Dolby Atmos. So we purchased the LG SK10Y speakers and the difference is night and day. They truly add to the movie like atmosphere when watching movies whether they be in HD or 4K. I must admit it has been awhile since we bought a new TV and I was certainly not expecting all of the upgrades needed especially if you want to watch 4K movies and shows. Along with the speakers we also bought new HDMI cables that support 4K, upgraded our Netflix two premium in order to watch their 4k offerings and even a new Apple TV. IMO you do not need the new Apple TV4K as the TV comes loaded with many apps and in fact on the Smart Remote there is a separate key for Netflix and Amazon Prime. I only upgraded my Apple TV because I like the movies Apple offers in 4K. The TV comes with its own smart remote which is very intuitive and has replaced a few of our remotes( top box remote and the remote that came with the SK10 Y Soundbar system), however, it cannot replace the Apple remote or at least I have yet to find a work around. One might think a 65 inch TV is big and it is. So you may think you cannot sit that close to it, however that is not the case. We sit approximately 8 feet from the screen and it has not posed a problem. I believe the new 2019 TV's have been released so the price on 2018's are dropping. In fact the price of the one we purchased dropped $500.00 two days after we ordered ours. I want back and they honored the new price. The bottom line for us is that to date we have not been disappointed with our new TV.

Great TV !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really enjoying the number of features this TV has. It was fun to explore Voice controlled Google Assistant, has lot of convenient HDMI ports (I have PS4, Blueray, Soundbar, Roku) and are very well hidden. TV Sound was good(Dolby Atmos) but I have my own soundbar. This is not a downside but kind of annoying to start with the new TV. I have noticed that the dark pixels are way too dark, kind of annoying to watch TV during day time. Switched various Picture Mode to figure out (Auto Power Save, Expert Bright etc., ) but didn't help. After some exploring I found under "All Setting -> Picture -> Energy Saving" was maximum. I turned that either off or kept minimum, that makes the display even great during day time. It was kind of annoying to find this option disconnected in the quick settings. Otherwise, great and cool tv loaded with lot of features.

Beautiful Picture - Blown Away

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for 6 weeks now and I can unequivocally state that this 65" LG TV (OLED65E8PUA) is by far the best TV I have ever owned. The blacks are the deepest and truest I have ever experienced, definitely no evidence of washed out colors, as each color is vibrant and sharp. This TV presents an excellent picture at all but the most extreme viewing angles. The design of the TV presents well and the appointed features included are a nice addition. The only ding I can think of is the placement of the HDMI ports being towards the extreme left side of the unit, which is fine if all your other equipment being connected to the TV is to the left or directly below.

Great Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this tv but have concerns. Every now and then the picture scrambles for a few seconds and I hope is not an early sign of screen failure. This happened on my last tv and a year+ in the screen failed. Some of the scenes are super dark too. The sound also bothers me as many channels it is muffled and I keep finding it necessary to turn it up and down so I can hear what they are saying. Then a commercial comes on and I am blasted out of the room. Annoying. Why don't they put the speakers facing out into the room instead of at the wall in back of the tv?

Great TV but support terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has a wonderful screen that really does look as good at home as it did in the store. However setting it up was ridiculously difficult. Very little information came in the box and what was there was inadequate and confusing. Looking online produced a mix of old information that usually did not apply to this, the latest model.I would have given a 5 star review if it came with a usable user guide.
