The Good: (1) Generator shipped in reasonable time. (2) Easy to set up as all tools are included, even the engine oil. (3) Works as expected ( when stating with button ) and Noise level very reasonable. The Bad: I wanted to try starting manually too. The recoil handle broke off and detached from the wire. The wire simply retracted into the generator and cannot be found.

I'm really impressed with the Westinghouse iGen 5000DFC. From the start, it's been reliable and easy to use. What stands out the most is how quiet it runs compared to other generators I've used. I bought this Generator after a series of Tornadoes hit the area.I wanted an Inverter Generator that was quiet, easy to start and had a long run time. This machine is quiet and easy to start and with about 2 gallons of Gas, it showed about 10 hours of run time without a load. I amvery pleased out of the gate.

while it has not been put in use as yet for power failure it is of high quality. It was easy to assemble though I little heavy for me (I am nearly 70) once together it rolls easy. Access to the oil stick was easy and with the included funnel it was no problem filling with the oil. Oil is provided however since it can get quite cold here in Wis I chose to put 5w-30 instead since our temps can get well below zero in winter months and chart recommended that for lower temps. I am having a transfer switch installed to power up my well pump and a few other circuits which this generator should have no problem with its rated 11000 watts. Most household appliances run on gas and do not care to power up AC so this unit will perform great.

I just unpackaged and did my break in run and the remote doesn't work. I tried everything and read instructions. The oil drain is in a sick place and doesn't allow the oil to drain anywhere but under the motor and inside the entire bottom shroud. I will still recommend this generator though only based on the reviews I've read before purchasing as I have only had it for 2 days. So far I'm not happy with its design. but it seems to run good

This unit is perfect for our 21' travel trailer. Operates all appliances including AC, it's as quiet as you could hope for. It of course makes noise, but seems acceptable to neighbors. I really enjoy the remote start and the weight is certainly manageable for a 65 year old :)

Thrilled with the features, size and portability of this generator which I purchased for camping with my PUP. I initially bought a WEN dual fuel and returned it. It was much heavier and louder & being 51 yo 5' female was not portable for me to travel with by myself without assistance. This unit is 4000 not 4600 but is close to 40lbs lighter, packs a punch and is perfect for me. I'm thrilled with the features, the size and have always liked Westinghouse products. Looking forward to many years of camping with this!

Love the way it runs, smooth and quiet compared to my old Generac. Access to oil fill through access panel is difficult due to tight fit and my hands aren't exactly large. Be careful when adding fuel for the first time - the screen filters will back up the flow if you pour too fast. Other than those growing pains I would recommend the unit.

I own a 9.5k generator but it's quite large, noisy and occupies lot of space. Bought the Westinghouse iGen4000DFc and I couldn't ask for more. Very happy with the unit features and also very quiet, where conversation are possible near the unit. Will reccomend it to any one..

There are not many inverter generators this large, and this had all the features and a good quality reputation, at the best price. I wanted an inverter unit because it wouldn't damage electronics - but more importantly is more fuel efficient and quieter.
