More than expected

Had trouble with the first start but then realized it's not a auto choke. The generator is far quitter than I ever expected it to be.Ony issue 2 issues I can think of are sort of nitpicks but finding reviews on this specific unit befor buying was very hard to do. It seems like everywhere that sells Westinghouse equipment (Amazon, Lows, Homedepot, etc) all just groups the reviews together. You can look up information on this inverter and you might be reading a review of a completely different unit also the instruction manual that comes with it is not very informative at all and is full of grammar and spellingerrors. As far as the unit, its really better than I expected.

just got it, runs fine so far

came with a broken retaining tab in the bottom of the bag, not sure where it goes but it's not missing from the right side panel. started and ran fine, powered an air compressor and freezer. it is very quiet for what it is. I'm not outside of the break in yet, I'll update if I can after running it for a few more hours.

Started Right Up!

Just got this for future emergencies after doing quite a bit of research on the best models for my uses. I set it up (easy) and it started right away. I let it run for at least 2 hours without a hick-up. I also put a known load on it (space heater) with a watt meter on it at all three outlets. The generator told me the same wattage as did the watt meter for each of the three outlets.

Working Great

I purchased the iGen5000DF recently and have run it a couple times already; once as a break-in period, and the second time was during an actual power outage. The power outage only lasted about 4 hours, but it gave me a good idea of how to get the generator hooked up and running to power our refrigerator. I have only run it on propane so far, which is what I intend to do going forward because I'd rather store a few LP cylinders than containers of gasoline. The generator is relatively easy to set up and get running. It runs quietly enough, although not as silent as some of the other online reviews made it seem. It had enough juice to power my fridge and wasn't showing much of a power drain on the display, so I think it will be fine to power all of my essential electrical needs during an extended power outage. There are a few things I think I should mention. Both the Quick Start guide and the User Manual state that you must remove the engine service cover to access the oil dipstick. I think this part of the documentation is outdated because the oil dipstick now has its own access cover on the opposite side of the generator than what is shown in the manuals. With that said, it is still a bit of a tight fit to get your fingers in there and attach the oil funnel. Also both the funnel and the dipstick are plastic and I had to worry about cross-threading and stripping the threads on the plastic, so you have to be careful when attaching the funnel and when screwing the dipstick back into the fill hole. I have not had to do an oil change yet, so I don't know how easy or difficult that will be, but you have to place a pan underneath it to catch the oil and considering how heavy and low to the ground the generator is I think it may be a little challenging. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend.

IGen 11000DFc Inverter generator

Love the built of this enclosed Inverter generator. Bought it a few month back when first hurricane arrived in Florida. Fortunately we did not loose power and did not get to test under extreme emergency conditions but we feel confident this machine will do the job.

Inverter cover

Well so far I'm impressed everything looks great and it fired right up the only complaint I have at the moment is I just spent 2k on this generator and I understand that it is an inverter style but I would still like to cover it up with a Westinghouse cover while it's stored in my garage so that's the only gripe I have thanks

Feature Rich Generator

This generator starts easily and runs very quietly. So far it has not been heavily loaded and is being broken in gradually. Fuel is very important to be fresh and clean. Control and info panel provides a wealth of operating data. Overall a good machine.

Solid Invertor Generator

After owning a Westinghouse WGen9500DF and a IGen2500 and being very happy with them both, I decided to upgrade to the IGen11000DFc. Upgrade was for the quiet nature of the IGen and the lower THD which pairs nicely with my computer and internet battery backups. So far I've done the 5 hr break in and then did a whole house test including AC. Worked like a champ, looking forward to many years of use.

iGen11000DFC purchased 9/2024

I wanted a generator that could run on propane especially for the refrigerator, freezer, tv and lights when the electricity goes off which it frequently does in my area. After a lot of research I purchased the Westinghouse inverter generator 11000DFc in September 2024. These features sold me on it: dual fuel, electric and remote, capacity to run large appliances, ability to run several hours using less fuel, quieter than a gas generator. My propane gas company hooked it up to the propane tank used for the house yesterday and this seems to be working good. I am thrilled that they were able to connect it to the larger tank and I won't have to depend on having gasoline on hand when the power goes out! An electrician will be coming in a few days to connect it to the house breaker which will allow me to run the generator without cords running out the door.

A very good upgrade to previous generator

I received the generator yesterday in advance of yet another hurricane headed for Florida. I got it for the dual fuel option. Unboxing was pretty straightforward, and one thing I will mention is that the wheels really help with mobility. My first generator, which is just as heavy, was nearly impossible to move. But this one made movement super easy. The directions in the manual were thorough. I do think they need some work with organization of it and have matching graphics to the items they discuss in the manual. I will update this post as I proceed through setup and running the generator in the coming days, so stay tuned!
