After researching portable inverter/generator models on a few independent consumer sites, and based on their ratings, we made the decision to purchase the iGen4500DF generator in November of 2024. We wanted something compact to use for temporary backup of essential appliances in the event of a power outage. We also intend to use it to power an RV at un-serviced campsites. The unit started and ran flawlessly from initial start-up, and through the break-in period, cycling from gasoline to propane, and back to gasoline several times over the recommended 5-hour initial break-in run. Electrical appliances were cycled during break-in varying generator output from 25% - 50%. At the end of the break-in cycle an additional appliance was added increasing power output to 90%. In all cases the generator governed the engine rpm smoothly throughout the electrical load variations. The unit is well designed with robust body panels, and the control panel is nicely laid out and easy to understand. The handles to lift the generator are well designed allowing the unit to be lifted while wearing thick gloves. The retractable handle for moving the unit on its wheels is also a nice feature (easier on the back). I was able to stop and start the unit with the remote from 60 ft with no issue. I didn't try any further than 100 ft, but I don't have any reason to believe that it wouldn't work further away that that. The unit is nice and quiet, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable compact inverter/generator with good power output.

Really like this inverter generator it's my first electric starter. Like the dual fuel setup. Starts quick in15degree weather. The only complaint I have is the opening to change the oil is to small to get my hand in to take the dipstick out and put it back in spent about 1/2 hour to add the oil, you need to make that opening bigger I know I'm not the only person with big hands. That's is my only complaint.

I bought this generator as a home back up and it's proven to be a reliable, capable machine! Assembly was straight forward, it started with no issues out of the box and, after break in, I found it was able to provide stable power to critical circuits in my home. I've had no starting issues or power fluctuations. I'm confident I purchased to right power solution to run sensitive electronics during outages!

Very capable and EXTREMELY QUIET generator. Small, compact, most features for inverter generator. Not a whole house but will get job done.

I love the features of this generator. The only problem is it does not work at 9 to 10,000 feetEven with the high altitude kit installed.

Duel Fuel Fuel is awesome not hauling gas cans but propane tanks, generator very quiet powering my 5 th wheel.

I was a Homda generator guy until Hurricane Helene. I bought a Westinghouse and love the ease of opertion, fuel economy and db level. Aommuch that I bought a second one for camping

Bought this for hurricane season. It started right up and very quiet comparing to traditional open frame generators. Got an inlet installed to the main panel to power up the entire house.

I bought this a month ago. We have used it for 1 4hr period. The generator performs as one would expect. I don't know how heat tolerant the generator will be here in Louisiana, TBD.
