This review is for the iGen5000DFc. I've only had this generator a few days, but it started up with no issues running on gasoline. I have not tried running it on propane yet. The generator was bigger than I thought from looking at the pictures. The retractable handle worked well for moving it around. After letting it run for about an hour unloaded, I ran my compound miter saw and vacuum cleaner with no issues. overall, i am happy with this purchase so far.

Just received this yesterday. Easy unpacking, and very good startup information. Did all the prep, hooked up the propane, checked the lines, used the starter button and it fired right up! Very quiet generator. Put a load on it which ramped it up slightly, but still nice and quiet. Very pleased so far, can't wait to try it on the RV!

It's adding up to everything promised. I was also surprised by how easily it can be move around with the extension handle, something my wife definitely needs. That said, the manual could use some more detail. E.G. It refers to the choke, but doesn't show where it is. The same for the fuel valve.

We bought this a week ago and it works great! Love the remote start and that we can use propane or gas! The expandable handle makes it easy to move it around. There are 2 handles on the the top that make it easier to lift. Fairly quite as far as generators go.

Purchased for camping trips, but we've yet to take it out.. However we did run it the 5 hour break in period, changed the oil (which proved to be wise) and then ran the AC on the camper 30 minutes. Works just as anticipated. But please note the iGEN4500DF has a floating ground, so you'll need to take that into consideration if you use a power protection device. The luggage style handle and wheels work great except on going up/down stairs. The belly of the Gen set is not smooth so going up stairs using the wheels & handle won't work. Draining the oil can be just a little messy but not difficult to clean up. I'll find a tiny funnel to prevent the mess next time. Loosening the oil drain plug was a challenge for me as my hands are not small. I had to remove the side cover slightly in order to get a good grip with the wrench. A larger access door would be helpful but not a deal breaker. Love the gas Guage and load display. I would recommend this unit and already have to a couple of friends. Really like the versatility, compact size, and appearance.

Bought this generator for emergency power back up. I wanted something that would power my refrigerator,freezer,safe for electronics, and runs quite. The generator was well packed however there was a screw loose in the plastic bag. There was also some marks on the cover. The propane port on the front of the generator came off when I removed the propane hose. The generator fired right up and had no problems with my break in. It runs great.

Bought a week ago and filled the oil with the amount given and it overflowed, put 3 gallons of gas in it , pulled it 20 times without turning it on to distribute oil in engine , when I figured out I had to add a ground wire it started right up. In my opinion Super Quiet ....3 gallons has lasted bout 20 hours with 5 hour breakin and the rest running a RV AC unit and it stays bout 50% power usage. 13,500 ac unit runs with lights on and microwave running. So far , So good...easy to set up and move with handle and it's less noise than a window ac unit.

I purchased this dual fuel iGen4500 DFc generator a month ago and though I have not needed it for a power outage yet, that is primarily why I purchased it. I had help from a neighbor who is more experienced with generators than I to set it up and get it running. I then ran it myself for the 5 hour break in period that day as we were expecting a storm. I have given it 4 stars because it was a bit challenging to get the battery hooked up, due to the fiddly strap and positioning it properly. Also, it took a few tries to get it to start, and finally started it with the remote at a distance. The instructions said to vary the load during the break in period, and I used a hair dryer to accomplish that. I'm hopeful that I can give a more detailed review after using it for a time. I chose it because it has features that allow me, a senior female, to move it around easily, use different fuels, and use the digital readout to give me up to date info on fuel, load, running time etc.

Purchased 3 of these for a work project. Seems good (at least initially) and pretty quiet. Manual wasn't quite right (for example it had the USB and economy mode switch swapped on pix and diagrams). Also, positive and negative not labelled for parallel plugs. Good overall though.

After reviewing hours of online videos and written reviews I decided to give the igen4500df a try. I was hesitant with so many reviews showing the choke issue but videos show it is an easy fix. Setup was really easy and it started with the second button push. Runs great. Really quiet. Will run both A/C units but that is its max. Anything else and it will trip the overload on my fifth wheel. Remote start is a must have in my opinion as I do not want to go outside in the cold morning air to be able to start my Coffey pot. Overall I would highly recommend this product based on initial impressions.
