I purchased this unit to replace a very basic 5 kW Coleman Powermate generator that I've had for over 25 years. The difference in technology is amazing - inverter quality power, dual fuel, remote start, control panel data display, etc. So far I've only run this generator to test it but it has already exceeded my expectations. I'm an electrical engineer and in my opinion the build quality appears to be excellent, and given its size the maneuverability has been surprisingly easy.

First impression of the outer box is that it was a bit light weight and I was in for some broken parts as the banding straps had cut deep into the cardboard. Opened the box to find the battery door was not attached, the battery was hanging out of the battery compartment, and the battery hold down strap near the oil fill plug. Good news is none of the parts were damaged, but reinstalling the battery hold down strap and battery is a bit tight for adult hands. Filled up with oil using the provided oil and screw in funnel, with no issues. Hooked up the propane line to the regulator and then the generator with no issues. (Generator came with a tool kit, so no need to go to the toolbox.) Turned on the propane, pressed the ON/OFF button and within a couple revolutions it was running and more quiet than I had anticipated. Ran for an hour with 1K load no issues. Have not tested with the 15K RV AC unit yet. Only real negatives were the condition of packaging, parts dislodged in transit, and the battery and oil fill access panels a bit too small for adult hands.

Great all around generator.Bought this a month ago, it has been work out well. Use it to top batteries off at night if solar didn't capture enough during the day. It is quiet, quick remote starts and fuel efficient. Run it on mainly propane as this seem to contaminate the oil less. Maximum power draw on my unit with everything going 2300 watts. So this unit has no problem keep up. Average draw is 600 watts. So far I really like this gen. Pull start easy as well. Time will tell how durable it is

My neighbor has this same generator and it worked great! The last time our power was off he threw an extension cord over the fence so we could share. Powered both of our fridges, cell phone chargers, and lamps. I ordered the exact same model. Just opened the box tonight. After reading all instructions, I added the provided oil, then started adding gas. I was 3 or 4 gallons in when I realized it was leaking gas, spreading across my garage floor. Thankfully standing it up on end stopped the leak. I called customer service and am awaiting a call back from a tech. Set at 3 stars for now -- 5 from previous experience, and 1 from my initial experience tonight. We'll see what happens and if I have cause to upgrade this to a 5 star review or downgrade to a one star. I'm hoping it goes to 5 stars!

Ran well right out of box, quiet at low loads. Make sure to follow a good break in procedure. Recommend adding a step before starting by turning over the engine with the pull cord a few time to cycle oil (with battery OFF you don't want it to start yet). Then start following procedure outlined. Time will tell how reliable it is since mine is still new, but everything worked as delivered. Oil fill leaked a bit with the .6L bottle shipped; not easy to get under the engine inside the cover to clean up, so it comes out the bottom holes eventually. Make sure you fill somewhere that can stand a bit of oil. One annoyance was the user manual that came with mine was apparently for an older version iGen4500DF. It was missing info on the parallel outlets and their operation for example. Shipping boxes didn't match either, no picture or mention of these outlets. This was one of the key features I wanted to be able to run dual AC and other electronics in the summer heat off grid. At first I was concerned the gen didn't have the ports, but when I opened the box to my relief they were there. I later found the right manual online. Wasted some time but ended up with the right gen and documentation.

Just bought and surprised how solid this is constructed. It is heavy but easy to tote around due to telescopic handle. Have only used it with propane so far and is exceptionally quiet. Started up first attempt using the fob. Purchased 50' 10-gauge extension cord per instructions. Did not have any spikes in voltage which is important as I will connect my home fridge to generator during next outage. Highly recommend this dual fuel model should community I live in be short on either the propane or the gas. Not so concerned about the next ice or winter storm now that I have this!

I did a lot of research to find the right mix of features and quality in an inverter generator. The iGen 4500 DF fit the bill exactly. The balance of features to price made it a high value purchase. I have a lot of newer refrigerators that need the low THD to protect them from electrical damage. And I have a lot of food in them that I do not want to spoil. I am breaking it in as I write this review and everything is going perfectly. I do not expect any issues in the future.

I bought this a month ago, and haven't needed it yet. However, I did fire it up and test all the functions. It took a hot minute to get it started the first time. Getting gas through the carb I assume to a bit of extra cranking. After that, this started up right away, and the remote start worked nicely as well. Plugged a few things in to make sure the inverter worked, and I was satisfied. This generator wasn't as quiet as I had hoped. It seems others I have heard were quieter. Can't prove it without a db meter however.

This generator works to power everything in my 22' travel trailer without too much noise. Lots of great features, love that it has a battery that charges as you run it, as well as the option to have power for many different devices and needs. Heavier than expected, but wheels and handle make transport possible for this petite woman!

I purchased this product for our family camping trips. We really enjoy the rustic campgrounds but would like to have some power available to handle our camper when needed. This generator is just what we needed. Its really quiet as compared to our smaller generator we have. We also love the option to run on gas or propane. The remote start option is awesome also. We look forward to using it for many years to come!
