I purchased this item a few weeks ago and put some gas in it and it started right up. I have had many generators in the past and they have come a long way. This is very quiet, and I like the dual feature of Gas and Propane. I am excited to take it on its first camping trip this weekend.

arrived in good shape in robust packaging, connected battery, hooked up propane, started first try. removed propane added gas started second try. changed oil three times during break in, ran several heavy loads generator ran great. also tried remote from inside my house and it started and stopped no problem

Unit started well right out of the box using the electric start and recoil. Remote doesn't seem to be pairing to the generator even with multiple attempts. Checked batteries in fob and they are good. Missing the manuals and Quick Start guide upon opening box. Runs quietly but does trip easily on RV AC start up of second unit running on LP. Overall seems solid but to run both AC units we will probably need to parallel to get enough starting amps. Like the option of dual fuel.

Great little generator. A lot quieter than my 7500. works just the same. Duel fuel makes it very versatile. Only issue relates to the specification disclosed on the website - Height was shown as 20 inches but it is actually 20.5 inches, appears they didn't include the gas cap. It just barely fits in my truck bed under the topper. Would be better if it was 20 inches as advertised!

I bought this a year ago. Finally took it out of the box and used for off the grid camping with horses. I didnt want to bring gas so I opted for propane. It worked really well. Started right up each time. I will say the fit and finish isn't the greatest but for the power and options, this is a good machine to purchase. I haven't tried the gas yet but for what I used it was perfect around horses. It is louder than my friends Champion, but this is also a larger unit and it was still decently quiet.

We had been talking about purchasing this generator, when we had a power outage where we live for a couple days. We purchased the generator for our camper and lived in it during the outage. It did fantastic. We will now mount in our RV and take it on the road to various campgrounds and parks and conveniently always have power. Glad we got it broke in and it ran quietly and sufficiently! Definitely recommend.

I PURCHASED THIS FOR USE MOSTLY AS A POWER SOURCE FOR MY RV AND TO HOPEFULLY RUN THE AIR CONDITIONER (I HAVEN'T TRIED THAT YET). I'VE ONLY HAD THIS GENERATOR FOR A FEW DAYS AND HAVEN'T REALLY USED IT. HOWEVER, INITIAL SETUP AND START WERE VERY EASY. JUST CONNECT THE BATTERY, ADD THE SUPPLIED OIL, ADD GAS AND IT WAS READY. IT STARTED ON THE THIRD ATTEMPT. I BELIEVE IT HAD TO PRIME AND PUMP THE GAS; THAT'S WHY IT TOOK 3 ATTEMPTS. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE THUS FAR, IS THE BATTERY STRAP WAS CUT AND NOT OPERABLE, BUT THAT SHOULD BE EASILY FIXED.

I purchased this generator because the specifications said it could handle over 30 AMPs running on gasoline or propane. When our family travels towing our Airstream (30 AMPs) we like to keep the generator in the tow vehicle. It's great that it doesn't smell of gasoline. I also wanted to use this generator as a backup solution with a transfer switch on our house. There is a meter on the front of the generator showing the load and the kilowatts being used. I was able to power two refrigerators, a freezer, lights, and some computers all running together. I added enough items to push it over 30 AMPs and it handled it well. It's quiet and I like the weight. The generator weighs about 100 lbs but it is manageable with two people. The two metal bars on the top help when lifting. The extending bottom handle is great for moving it around when it's on the ground. Nice product.

Why good for a woman? Let me explain. We live in Southern California and every year the Santa Ana winds kick up but last year was really bad and we lost power for several days. Since we did not expect this to happen we were unprepared. Our friends who had power let us lend their generator. I quickly learned that if I did not have a husband I would have been out of luck. I'm not some wimp here, I work out and I think I am decent shape but this thing was unruly, difficult if not impossible for me to move around, and I absolutely could not start it on my own since it was a pull start. Not too mention it made the loudest racket! Don't get me wrong I was grateful to have the power for several days but I thought, never again! So we bought this Westinghouse iGen4500. It took a bit to get started the first time since the automatic choke wasn't adjusting correctly and the instructions told us to fill the reservoir with the entire bottle of oil it came with which was waaay too much as it began spilling out! But once we got those issues sorted (my husband just manually adjusted the choke to get it started and then after that it did it on it's own every time) this thing was so easy to start since it has a push button start (in addition to the pull start) and it even has a remote! It is super quiet and it has a telescoping handle and large wheels so I can easily move it around! Why everything in life isn't made to be this easy beats me.

Bought about a month ago. Was really looking forward to electric start, particularly remote start. Very disappointed that after running 10-14 hours the battery won't hold a charge to remote or push button start in the morning. Voltmeter showed 5.9V! Manual start doesn't always work either. Pull, pull, pull, pull, pull and give up. Even after removing side cover to manually set choke. Trusty Honda 2000i to the rescue! However, when I can get it started I am impressed with the power, eco mode, running time, sound level, and display.
