I bought this generator this week. When it arrived, packaging was solid, all items inside box, and instructions were clear and concise. Assembly was minimal. Cranked up in first try with propane. Ran smooth and we tested with a lamp. Looking forward to testing heavier liads. Super quiet!

Bought for a new 5th wheel. Had a 12000 watt Westinghouse for a home back up but it was too big and heavy for the RV. This is a perfect size and power for our 30 foot 5th wheel. The 30 amp outlet and the wattage rating was able to run both ACs simultaneously. Super quiet for camp ground use. Very pleased.

I bought this just over a month ago and I am excited to continue to use it. It arrived well-packaged and in good shape. Setup was easy. I love the option for gas or propane fuel. The remote electric start works like a breeze. It's much much quieter than my dad's open-frame generator. It has no problem powering both my RV Air Conditioner and the Microwave, simultaneously. It's big enough that I plan to keep it at home for power outages as well. A highly sought after unit, but the purchase was worth the wait.

Purchased after much research. Decided on the igen4500DF to have the option of propane or gas. It was quieter then expected, and believe me I did a lot of research. Purchased to use with a ATC Toy Hauler. This will be more then enough to power as needed. I initially started the inverter on propane. Ran pretty rough on propane and would not maintain steady RPM. I went through the trouble shooting as instructed in the manual. Said the issue could be cause by gas left in the carb. (I'm guessing from testing at the factory.) Decided to run it on gas, and it ran incredibly smooth with steady RPM. After break in, (running for an hour with no load) and changing the oil, I decided to try the propane. While it was running on gas, I switched to propane and had no issues. Ran smoothly with steady RPM. My recommendation, break it in on gas. On side note about the break-in, I would certainly change the oil after the first hour. I have never been one to think that there was a need to, but I did see minute metal flecks in the oil after the first hour, as would be normal on any new engine. Overall, seems like a good product. Looking forward to getting out and using it on the hauler.

works great - both gas and propane, bought as an emergency generator but have been using with a compressor and battery charger for power tools as we build a large shed on the back half of my lot. I might even buy another (later) as a parallel power unit (or one for shed and one for house outage emergencies. The nits are all ergonomic and obviously would need some re-design to make it PERFECT. I'm old, have bad back and bad knees and very large hands – I'm a big guy but getting down on all fours just to add oil or even view the oil level is stupid – make fill tube longer by at least 6-8 inches, add a longer dip stick and for God's sake please need a proper oil drain cock. – no “dip unit over” that's a broken hand/arm waiting to happen. Add a way to drain the gas tank completely without having to run to “dry” – there is still gas left in tank (so yes a tank redesign) . The battery cover needs to be about an inch all around larger (the big hand's thing). Finally, a separate “quick access” panel to access the spark plug, carburetor bowl drain screw, and the choke (just in case)

Bought this last year for home back up, camping with our travel trailer, and dirt bike riding trips. It powers our rv 15,000 btu ac easily, it is very fuel efficient just like it claims, and it is so quiet you can easily talk standing beside it. This is a do it all generator and I'm so happy with it. I got the DF version and hooking it up to run on propane is easy. It comes with the tools to hook up to propane. I would buy again if I had to.

This igen5000dfcv generator is very quiet and fuel efficient. I opted for the recoil start for less maintenance of not worrying about a battery. It is very easy to pull start. The run time when loaded is about 14 hours on gasoline for me. With the small 3.4 gallon tank this makes it very fuel efficient. The ability to add a second igen5000 in the future for double the output makes this an attractive buy. It is not super light weight but it is still manageable for use on camping trips. I do look forward to purchasing another one in the future if I happen to need more power output.

Just purchased this generator and very impressed with its setup. Love all the features and the designs. Connected the battery, put oil and gas in it, it fired right up using/testing all 3 start methods (push button, remote and pull cord). Tested the output and all voltages look good. Will update if needed after we go camping.

We had a very specific list of "must haves" for our new generator. We already have one for our home. This one is for our new travel trailer. It it our intention to do more dry camping, so a good genny is the place to start. Back to my list: - We definitely wanted a dual-fuel generator. We do so much with LPG in the RV, it just made sense that a propane-fired generator would work well with our set up. - We needed a smaller, more manageable size for a not-so-young-anymore couple. I was hoping for less than 100 lbs. Since we're going to have to haul that thing around, the open-frame type was out of the question. This one comes in at a close 98 lbs. But it has that great luggage-style, pull-out handle! On a flat surface, it only takes ONE of us to move it around! - For the same reason, we needed more than just the recoil-start option. I am so done with pull-starting everything. With the push-button start, as well as a remote, this certainly fit the bill. (Although, if one must shut off the battery and close the propane valve, I suppose the remote control option is only good for the gas-powered starts?) - Must provide "clean" power - we've got sensitive electronics in that RV. - Speaking of that, the 30 amp RV receptacle was definitely on our list. Who wants to be fussing with adaptors and additional cords? - Our rooftop A/C unit takes the most power of everything in the RV. The generator needed to have at least enough power to fire that baby up when it gets too hot outside. This one has MORE than enough power for that.... even at the initial start-up! The Eco-mode is a nice feature, as well, for keeping the normal power draw to a minimum. This leads me to... - Last, but certainly not the least important box to check, the generator needed to be as quiet as we could get, while still checking off all of the above boxes. I gotta tell you, we just got this genny yesterday, and we've only started it twice. But, HOLY QUIET, BATMAN!!! My neighbor was blowing his leaves and when we stood in the street, our new generator was literally unheard over his blower. Really. Oh, and it started on the first push (NOT pull!) after installing the battery, adding oil, and hooking up the LP tank. All of our boxes were checked off with our new iGen4500DF, so I checked off all the stars. I don't anticipate any problems in the future. But if they happen, I'll update. Happy camping!

Very happy with it! I got this inverter generator to mount on the front trailer tray on the RV. The remote start is awesome as it lets me start if up and use the air conditioner while boondocking, without even having to go outside. I was very impressed with just how quiet it is while in eco mode and just how smoothly it starts up. A must have for any RV enthusest.
