I just finished the recommended 5 hour break in and love this generator so far. I sold my Honda EU2000i as it would not power my RV's AC unit. This generator is not much louder, has over twice the power, remote start, and dual fuel. Amazing that the are both the same price.

I recently purchased the iGen4500DF generator as a backup power source in the event of a power outage. The generator arrived with no damage but the battery was loose. The dual fuel feature was a requirement since I plan on mostly on LP. I wish Westinghouse sold a Natural Gas conversion for this generator. After adding oil, the generator started on the first try using LP. The Quick Start Guide does not mention the break-in period so you should read the User Manual. Also, after the break-in period, some other manufactures recommend changing the oil. There is no mention of changing the oil after the break-in period on the iGen4500DF. Under 50% load, the generator was very quiet. If this generator had a natural gas option I would have rated it Excellent. I would recommend this generators to others.

I just got this inverter snd I can already tell I made the right choice. Super easy to crank whether you use the electric start with the remote or pull the cord. Is powerful enough to run my 30 amp travel trailer with everything on, even the A/C. Even on propane! It does all this and barely makes a sound. In eco mode it is quieter than a dishwasher. Amazing product!

I bought this generator to use for camping because all the electric sites get reserved so far in advance. It arrived in good shape and I was eager to test it out. The one I bought was an opened box refurbished unit. It didn't come with a manual so I looked it up online and printed it out. Filled it with oil and gas but had to charge up the battery. Once all that was done it fired right up. It is super quiet. I only put a gallon of gas in it and the meter said it had 5 hours of run time at idle. When I tried it on my camper the 13500 btu AC made the meter show it was at 50% capacity. Next I turned on the 700 watt microwave and the meter showed 75%. Shut those 2 off and the generator idled down and just purred quietly. With just all my lights on it barely comes off idle. So far I'm super pumped about this new camping toy.

Bought this about a month ago to replace/upgrade a previous generator that I'd owned for ~5 years. Things I like most: - Dual Fuel (LP/Gasoline) capability. - Switches easily from LP to gasoline (& vice versa) without having to shut down the generator. - Telescoping Handle - Long run time w/o refueling. Especially handy is being able to switch from LP to gasoline to facilitate swapping out LP tanks w/o having to shut down the generator. - Digital display of power output, runtime hours and fuel level. - Automatic choke - Inverter reset button Improvements: - Replacing the 3/8" flare fitting for LP with a quick-connect fitting - Adding a fuel shutoff switch (gasoline) - Using a hinged cover for the 30A and 20A connections...the soft rubber ones feel flimsy. - Relocate/re-engineer the transport handle to facilitate easier extension/pickup...having the handle so low tends to scrape knuckles ;-)

The generator came after a backlog of about 2 months. Setup was easy and it fired right up after putting gas into it. it is every bit as quite as the comparable competitor units for twice the money. push button start and keyfob remote are a nice touch.

I bought this a little over A month ago and have only ran the generator on Propane for the break in period and have no issues as yet, My previous experience was a 5500 Onan LP gen. over 9 years and I prefer to run LP although having gas as an alternative is a great asset. because of the virus situation. I haven't been able to use it more, so far I'm impressed with the quality and quietness.

This will have to serve as a short term review, since I only started it up today, but I must say, so far I'm impressed! I ordered this from the Home Depot website, and it was delivered with free shipping, It was boxed up very nicely and I like that it included oil (PLUS) with the purchase, and the battery had enough charge to start the unit (PLUS). I unboxed it, which took about 5 minutes, read through the quick start guide (less than 5 minutes), then using the extending handle (PLUS) I rolled it outside like a suitcase.. Easy peasy. Outside, I snapped off the oil and battery covers, put the oil in the unit with the INCLUDED funnel (PLUS), and connected the battery cables with the simple plug adapter (PLUS) that you can hook directly up to a battery tender jr if you wanted to (PLUS). The unit also comes with an outlet adapter to charge the battery from your 110v outlet (PLUS). I added about a gallon of gasoline and a quarter ounce of stabil, took the remote control and hit the start button. It fired right up! I couldn't believe how quiet it was! (SUPER PLUS). Then I put it on eco mode and it got even quieter!!! I hooked up an electric hammer drill to check how much it would ramp up.. it was barely affected, the drill was twice as loud as the IGEN. So it took me about 10-15 minutes to get this thing ready to use. The maintenance schedule says to change that oil after 20 hours of use, so I will do that or maybe sooner. Then as I read the manual, I saw another PLUS, a free gift for leaving a review.. it didn't say it had to be a good review or anything, but in this case, I have nothing but good things to say about this machine, so far. I hope it lasts, but with a 3 yr warranty, I'm not all that concerned. Time will tell.

I just started using my generator, all parameters are as advertised, low noise, it started at the first try smoothly, increasing the load increase the demand of energy and noise as expected, easy to connect the battery, the oil a little bit difficult to get the right level because I suppose it was a residual amount of oil from factory but other than that everything works very good.

I did alot of research for a generator for the 5th wheel. I wanted inboard but for 1/4 the price you can't beat this thing. The remote start is amazing and works great for cold mornings. Haven't had to use the AC yet but I know if won't be a problem. The genset is amazingly quite which was a concern. I have a Honda EU2000i and this genset is quieter than the Honda. Perfect for camping!
