[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a fun game. We played this game on vacation when we went to theountains fir Chrostmas. Kids and adults enjoyed it. This game is a great group game and was a little difficult ar first but once you get the hang of it, it was so fun.

Poetry for Neanderthals is an extremely fun and social game to play with a group of people.We played with 7 people, 4 guys and 3 girls. The odd number of players was the only thing that made it slightly less than ideal, but it was easily overcome. The rules say if there is an odd number of players one becomes the all-time checker/moderator, but that didn’t sound fun to us. For each round we played, we gave each guy a turn, and then we gave 1 girl an extra turn to even it out.Throughout the game we laughed so much! The conflict of trying to use only simple words while also race the timer was an extremely entertaining mental challenge. Almost immediately after our game night was finished, my wife and I were already discussing having another game night with different people to play Poetry for Neanderthals. We even played it, the following day with our kids (10 yrs. and 8 yrs.), and they loved it as much as we did.I recommend playing this game as it does not disappoint!

Multiple generations spent the evening after Thanksgiving dinner laughing out loud as we played this together. I wasn't sure about having a club to bop people over the head if they make a mistake but it is one of the funniest aspects of the game. Such a simple game concept and yet so much fun to play! It can be tricky to find a social game that appeals to kids as much as it does adults but this one does it perfectly.

We had a blast at our first official Teen Scene get-together last week! I showed them how to play Poetry for Neanderthals which is an Exploding Kittens game that Tryazon sent us to try out. It was a huge hit...literally! It did take them a minute to figure out the flow of the game, and it was a lot more challenging than any of us thought it would be. But that didn't keep them from having a good laugh at the one-syllable words that were spouted out in an attempt to get their teammates to guess their word. And everyone was eager to play the judge and bop their neighbor on the head a few times when they broke the rules...LOL!

This game has easy to follow instructions on how to play and addition to being really fun it is really funny and humorous too. Definitely a great fit for game night in my household. It’s one of our more popular choices for game night! I would highly recommend this game!

He is 15 years old and they have been playing this game for a few months now. I would have thought they would have moved on to a different game but they all choose this one over all the ones we have.

It reminded us of the movie Four Christmases when they go to Vince Vaughns characters mothers house and play Taboo. We had a great time and it was harder than I had thought to find one syllable words to describe the words on the card. Love this game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This had to be one of the funniest games I’ve ever played with my children. You pick cards and have to get your teammates to guess what it is while only talking in one syllable words. While the other team has an inflatable bat to bonk you with if you use more than one syllable, let’s just say my kids couldn’t wait for their parents to mess up so they could give use a bonk. My advice, make sure to do a few practice rounds so you get use to the game, we aren’t use to talking in one syllable and the kids got a little frustrated at first but once the got the hang of it it was game on. This was such a cute game and I can’t wait to have more family nights like this.

It’s easy to learn, the rules are simple. Pro tip - it really does help you not say 2-syllable words if you speak like a Neanderthal.
