Had some family visiting from out of town so we pulled out this game to play and we had a blast! The rules are simple and it’s easy for everyone to play along- perfect for a big party group when you don’t want to spend a lot of time on reading and explaining the rules. The game forces you to think fast and be creative with your sentences - very engaging all around.

Poetry for Neanderthals is really fun to play and actually challenging when you can only use 1 syllable words as descriptors. We now play this quite frequently especially if we have guests. Everyone that has played it with us has nothing but positive reviews of it. Of course the kids love to 'bonk' others with the 'No' club, and I have to admit that it does give me a little pleasure as well. I love to sit back and listen to others try to describe the guess word, it gets kind of funny because they begin to sound like neanderthals. If you like to laugh and have fun while playing a board game, then you should definitely give this a try. My family loves this as it has quickly became one of our favorites. The added bonus is more family time.

My 11 year old had a blast hitting us with the blow up club! I highly recommend this game for anyone with kids who love game nights!

We loved how easy and fun this game was! We thought it would be super hard to not say words with syllables. Well it was a challenge but overall we enjoyed this game. I love how you can purchase the extension pack if you go through the cards in the initial box.
