We played this game with our 6 and 8-year-olds and they had so much fun. It is perfect for anyone who knows how to read and is quick and easy to get started. Some of my favorite aspects are the video instructions which are great for kids who often tune parent voices out and the actual game packaging. I love how organized it is and how there's a spot to put the timer on "pause" when needed. And of course, the kids loved the inflatable club - our 3yo was the designated judge with hilarious results.

If you ever wanted to take your English back to the basics, this game is for you. It was a big hit (literally 😂) amongst all of us. It’s great for big groups. It’s just as much fun talking like a Neanderthal, as it is to hit the person with a bat who doesn’t.

Get game! You make many laughs! See what I did there? ;) Poetry for Neanderthals is a hilarious new game that we got to enjoy for our game night. It was so much fun and everyone had a great time. You're only allowed to give clues using one syllable words and if you mess up, the other team gets to bonk you with the club! The kids loved that part the most! This game is an absolute hit for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is so fun! I got this for my family and we just have had a blast. So much so that my teenage son has taken it to friends houses and they have also.played. its good clean fun and a great way to spend quality time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hadn't heard of this game prior to receiving it, however, it is super fun! I played it with my siblings and nieces and we all had a blast. It sound pretty easy , but sometimes it more challenging than it seems!

Poetry for Neanderthals is a great group game! I played with a group of girls and we all really enjoyed it. It feels so difficult at first, but you get into a groove and really enjoy it the more you play! The blow-up club is obviously a fun addition too!

Had some family visiting from out of town so we pulled out this game to play and we had a blast! The rules are simple and it’s easy for everyone to play along- perfect for a big party group when you don’t want to spend a lot of time on reading and explaining the rules. The game forces you to think fast and be creative with your sentences - very engaging all around.

This was a great game to play. You don't realize how difficult it is to speak in one-syllable words to describe a phrase or word, and who doesn't want to smack their friends with the inflatable no! stick. The video for how to play the game made it easy for everyone to learn how to play, and everyone was laughing once we all got the hang of trying to talk like a Neanderthal.

We LOVE this game! It is allot harder than you'd think to talk simply. Describing things without the use of 2 or more syllables really makes you use your brain. We played as a family with friends and we had a harder time stopping the laughter enough to play especially when the "club" started swinging. We even took the cards with us on a road trip to pass the time and it was just as much fun. Easy for the whole family to play from ages 4 (who was the best at playing, btw) all the way to grandma and grandpa.Fun for the entire family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had such a great time playing this game with my 12 yr old nephew!! It took us a little bit to get the hang of single syllable words, then eventually caught on. We had a blast!! My nephew found the blow up bat to be the best part of the game. It definitely added more entertainment, besides the screaming & laughing!! I found the game to be extremely fun, and educational at the same time. It was definitely a bonding experience for my nephew and I. I highly recommend this game, and would like to try some others in the "Exploding Kittens" line.
