I gave this to my 20 month old niece for Christmas and was worried she would be a little to young for it, but I was wrong! She loved it and played with a great deal the few days I was visiting! The assembly was not difficult, but some of the pieces seemed warped and did not fit perfectly. The size was perfect for her and she will be able to grow into it. I definitely recommend this product!

Great gift for 2 year old +

The Step 2 LifeStyle Custom Kitchen was a birthday gift to my 2 year old granddaughter. I wasn't really sure if she would know what to do with it but since she always "pretended" to cook in the kitchen with pots and pans while I cooked I thought I would give it a try. Con: Took 3 hours to put together and the instructions say you only need a screwdriver, I would agree with some that a power tool would have been better. But that was the only down side. Pro: After all stickers were placed, screws screwed in, pieces locked together, I couldn't help but wish I was 3 again and could play with this myself! My granddaughter lifted the sheet I had the play kitchen covered with and began to push buttons on the microwave, oven, and talked on the phone as if she had been doing it all her life. I couldn't believe my eyes. When my son and I tried to persuade her to open her many other presents she yelled at the top of her lungs, "I cook, I cook!". My son wound up taking the rest of her presents home for her to open later. This play kitchen was a blessing in disguise and gave my granddaughter hours of enjoyment. The lifelike sounds of the pot and pan that were included was one of her favorites. Note: I purchased play food which included fish, steak, eggs, milk, bread, hot dog, hamburger, etc. This proved to be something that allowed my granddaughter to use her imagination in cooking.

Great product for kids: boy/girl; great price

My son and daughter love the play kitchen; the pretend making dishes and serving. Most importantly interacting with parents and siblings. quick to put together, just need to purchase additional food and plates to complete set. can't beat it for the price80.

Awesome play kitchen

Easy to assemble, this kitchen is a great size for a toddler and has many fun features, such as a beeping telephone and a sizzling/boiling burner depending on whether you put frying pan or pot (included) on it. It's been keeping my little granddaughter busy and allows creative and imaginative play. Seems sturdy too, and has lots of storage. Love it.

My Niece Loved It!

I bought this for my two year old niece's birthday. All the kids were excited and joined her in playing with it, from my one year old to her seven year old cousin. The cooking sounds are great and realistic. I am glad I read the reviews ahead of time and brought a cordless drill to help put it together. I'm not sure I could have made the holes with a screwdriver. **You need a tiny Phillips-head screwdriver to install the batteries.** My only complaint it that the stove door didn't stay closed. It was just out of square enough - but my husband folded up a piece of tape and then taped it to the top and it was enough to make it stay closed. So no big deal. I bought extra food because the set doesn't have any and the cookware that I bought was too large. But no one seemed to notice!

Great Buy

I really like this kitchen. The price is great and it was very easy to assemble. My daughter absolutely loves it!! I'm a really big "review" person, so before I decided on what kitchen to buy, I read alot of reviews on several different kitchens. This one just seemed to have a lot of good remarks made about it. I wasn't disappointed at all.

Great value

This kitchen is a big hit with our daughter, almost 2. We bought it at Christmas and she still plays with it. (We also bought the plastic food separately, which is key. You need not buy separate pots and pans, in my opinion.) The microwave does not have sound effects (a drawback) but the stovetop does. If it had a coffee pot that would be a fantastic addition. But, in short, this is a good value for the money; less than comparable kitchens and doesn't take up too much space in the urban household.

perfect for pre-schooler

I bought this for my 2 yr old grandbaby. I had one in my classroom so I was aware of the fun and learning opportunities this provided. Well, she absolutely loves it! Great value, well made, and the sound effects ( boiling and sizzling ) delight our little one. The brand is always dependable and Walmart shipped right on time. Highly recommended.

Great little kitchen!

We got this kitchen for our 14 month old daughter for Christmas, and we're really pleased. It's a great size - it doesn't take up too much space, but it has plenty of cool features and is big enough for her to grow into. There is lots of storage space, and of course, she loves the phone. It was pretty easy to assemble, too. Overall great buy!

My daughter loves her kitchen set. She didn't play with it a lot when we first got it when she was ~18 months, but now that she is 2 it is used every day for make believe play. Good value. One issue is that the phone stopped working on Day 1 and when I changed the batteries it still wouldn't work. Also, I wish it came with some fake food as well.
