A Big Hit!

This is a lovely little play kitchen with everything little chefs could want. It made me want to be a kid again and try it out--and I admit I had fun putting the pot on to "boil" and letting the frying pan "fry." Assembly is a little tricky because not all the holes are drilled--not sure why. The instructions indicate a drill may be needed--it IS needed. I actually used a hand drill for screw holes, and it worked fine. Our toddler daughter loves her little kitchen and "cooks" us meals all the time. You will not be disappointed in this wonderful kitchen set!

Great for the price!

I wasn't going to buy this until I saw that the price went down. I am so glad it did too. I had only one snag putting it together and that was with one of the long screws that holds the top to the bottom. The "starter" holes are not really useful for keeping the screws straight so it went askew and I have a small hole in the sink because of that but if you didn't know I did it you can't tell. I recommend a power drill because of the difficulty with the screws. My 2yo son LOVES this kitchen. So many different things to open and the burner that makes noise and lights up gets him to laugh almost every time.

Soooo cute!

This is perfect! I read some reviews of how many parts and how hard it was to assemble and have to think those customers must have been thinking about another toy. This was a breeze to assemble..we bought two for our grand daughters. We loved the actual boiling and sizzling sounds. What fun they will have with this. Every bit what I expected and more. What a convenience 'site to store' shopping is. One grand daughter lives in another state and I simply clicked on the store nearest her and it was done.

Better than my Kitchen

Originally we saw a larger Step2 kitchen at our local library and my 3yr old loved it. So for xmas she received this one and let me say that it definitely exceeded my expectations. Though not as big (which i like) this thing has more storage than my own kitchen. We didn't even have to throw away any of her older kitchen items. We store the food in the frig and the basket. The utensils in one drawer, the serving utensils in another, the pots in the oven and the dishes between the rack and the lower cupboard. She loves the phone and I love that she now has a place for her dolls food items as well. Oh and the fancy teaset she has sits beautifully on top of the whole kitchen. This kitchen is just easy to keep neat and becuase of that, I think they play with it even more. And of course, unlike those cheap kitchens, the drawers, frig, micro and cupboards DON't get stuck! Even my 5 year SON and 7 year old daughter love playing house with her. I payed $80 on Walmart for a TOP Quality play kitchen..this set will definitely retain its value and wear.

Pretty Good

My daughter is 2yo (+ 3 months) and likes the kitchen quite a bit. She likes to make us oatmeal using the special pans that make the noises. It's probably her age, but she goes in spurts, plays with it a lot on some days and ignores it on other days. Her older friends have come over and spent long periods playing with it, so I think she will probably continue to enjoy it more and more as time goes by. I wish more things made sounds, like the oven, and microwave, but then the cost would go up and my value score would have been lower. Oh well, it was a good choice for us, fits nicely against the wall and makes my daughter happy.

a little disappointed

The Step2 LifeStyle Custom Kitchen is sturdy, easy to put together and has many delightful features. My 2 year old granddaughter who is usually all over the house stood and played with it for almost an hour until it was time to go home. It kept her attention and provided her with the learning experiences I had hoped she would have. Unfortunately, the decals that make the kitchen look like a real kitchen were missing. I have a call in to the 800 number and hope they can help with replacement decals.

just as expected

Perfect for my 18 month old daughter. She loves to open and close all the doors. Some of the doors are a little hard for her to open/close but I figured there may be some things she would have to grow into. I searched for a long time before purchasing this kitchen set. I wanted a good product that would last a couple years and that I didn't have to spend a lot of money on. This set was perfect! I would definitely recommend this.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter got this for Christmas. It took my husband about 45 minutes to assemble and place the stickers on it on Christmas Eve. It isa compact size but still has all the appliances of a normal kitchen. There is lots of storage space for food, and the stove sounds are fun.

Good Value

Given to my son for his first birthday. We bought the one that came with all of the free food. He loves the kitchen. The refrigerator is a little difficult for him to open but hopefully it will get better with time. He loves when the skillet and pan are on the stove and make noise. His face lights up every time. I really like the height of the kitchen. My son is tall for his age (90 percentile) and he definitely has room to grow with this. Right now he can't even reach the microwave. I think he will get many years out of this kitchen. Great price.

Easy to assemble (about an hour) and sturdy. We purchased this for our 3 year old granddaughter to play with when she visits. She loves cooking for us in her kitchen and talking on the phone. She wishes the buttons for the microwave were like the ones on the phone (beep when pressed). Great boiling and frying sound effects.
