Vacuum runs quiet on floor mode, loud high pitched squeal in both carpet modes no matter if your on carpet or floor. This problem occurred with 2 vacuums new out of the box. Doesn't sound normal. You'll have a headache by the time you finish vacuuming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our existing vacuum is a Shark Rotator which we love, except that every week we must remove my wives long hair wrapped around the brush-roll. So I was excited to try this new feature. The new feature worked exactly as intended, there was zero hair on the roll! However, the new feature which prevents the hair wrapping made it very difficult to push the vacuum forward on high carpet, even on the high carpet setting (the brush role had rubber like lines which I assume is causing the issue). On low carpet (low carpet setting) and hard floor (hard floor setting), the vacuum worked great and was maneuvered easily. So if you only have those types of flooring I would highly recommended this vacuum. However, if you have high carpet, I would strong caution against this vacuum, it pushed so hard forward that I feared we could be damaging the carpet.

Shark has my heart when it comes to vacuums. My previous shark vac gave out on me after 6 years and I upgraded to this and it has such good cleaning capabilities! I'm a pet foster mom and have so much hair around my house always, but with this vacuum I never have to worry about it because it's gonna clean it up no problem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has great suction and has definitely deep cleaned my carpet. I was amazed how much pet dander, dirt and hair was in the dust cup! The vacuum is easy to maneuver and the self-cleaning brushroll really works. I like that the dust canister removes so you can vacuum under furniture and makes cleaning stairs easier. The vacuum is a little heavy, but it is very durable. It was easy to assemble and the 2 included pet tools can be attached to the vacuum. The long cord is nice but a little stiff. I also like the complete sealed hepa system traps and captures dust and allergens. I had no problem with detaching and emptying the dust cup. I'm pleased with the capability of cleaning hard floors and different carpet/rugs with the switch on the handle. The lighted brush is a great feature also. I would recommend this product for its powerful deep cleaning, portability features and knowing that dust and allergens are being trapped with the hepa filters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this about two weeks ago. It took be a bit to unpack it because well — I've been busy...but when I did — I wish I had unpacked it earlier! This is a Dream for anyone who has a furbaby. I have four. Two dogs and two cats — the fur really does fly through my house at times. But this sweeper is worth every penny it costs! It took me only 5 minutes to use the attachments on my couch and it's now fur free. It even smells better! I also love that the hardwood to carpet setting is on the handle rather than the base because I have both in my house and that was always a pain. The lift away is also really good for the stairs, or cleaning your car out. I have no complaints — other than make sure that the basket is on correctly when you empty it, but that is more user error than manufacture. But anyone who knows anything about huskies knows how difficult their hair can be and this machine sucks it up like a dream!

It is super easy to use and can lift up off the base so it can be carried to hard to reach spots. I really Like how it can go from tile or hardwood to a rug without bunching up. It cleans up so much from the carpet that you don't even see is there. It has several attachments that come with it and easy enough for my kids to figure out which is a huge plus

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum works great! I have really long hair, plus a cat, so hair getting caught in the vacuum brush roll is a serious issue for me. This was one of the main reasons I wanted this vacuum, so I hopefully won't have to cut my hair off the brush roll with scissors every time I use it, and so far, so good! My other favorite feature, is the light that shines out of the inside of the brush roll, so I can clearly see what I'm about to vacuum. It's really easy to clean out, and I'm able to use it in pretty much every area/surface of my house, so I would for sure recommend it to anyone looking to get a new vacuum.

The vacuum manuevers with ease as it swivels into the direction you choose. It is moderately lightweight, but by no means heavy. The main base lights up and contains a self-cleaning brush roll that easily picks up hair and dirt. I have 3 dogs that have long hair, so you can imagine how much hair is all over my furniture. I had no idea how much pet hair was in my room until I saw how full the dirt cup was. This vacuum picks up everything - dust, dirt, debris, hair, and especially allergens that are not visible to the eyes. The caddy contains the filter and dust cup. Emptying and cleaning the caddy is very simple. It has 2 quick release buttons that make it convenient to empty, without creating an additional mess. You can transform this vacuum as a multi-use tool to tackle your entire house. I use the wand, crevice tool and upholstery tools to clean hard to reach areas, such as under the bed, under the sofa, in-between the cushions of the sofa, the corners of my fridge and in my bathroom. The suction power is very powerful. I have never had to go over the same area more than once. The detachable caddy is my most favorite feature. I can attach it to the wand and easily move it from room to room, without having to move the entire unit as I clean. This certainly makes cleaning quicker and more convenient. My house contains many invisible allergens that I had no idea was lurking. I have been cleaning with this vacuum daily and was shocked at the amount of debris the dust cup collected. Little did I know how dirty my house actually was. That explains why my allergies are so bad! This vacuum performs equally well on hardwood floors. You can easily change the floor settings with a switch on the handle of the wand. The one feature I wish could be improved is the cord. I would've liked it to be retractable, however, since the length of the cord is very long, it's not a dealbreaker. I am very impressed with how quickly and easily this vacuum tackled the debris in my house. It moves with ease and picks up everything. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Shark® Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® Vacuum. It is a powerhouse unit that can tackle every room in your house with precision.

The vacuum is great if you have area rugs, hard wood floors, carpet and tile. This vacuum gets it all! The vacuum is a great multi surface cleaner. I can easily go from one room to the next no matter what the flooring is with a push of a button on top. I really like on this vacuum the brush that picks up hairs and dirty. Unlike any vacuum I owned this one has a self cleaner that acts as a comb and hair and pet hair doesn't get tangled in brush and stop it from spinning. The vacuum even has a feature that if the brush stops spinning it turns a different color. I can't count how many times I had something stuck in old vacuum brush and was vacuum without it's full power. I have 3 kids and two dogs and I was amazing at the pick up power the vacumm! It also has a nice long cord.

We bought this about a month ago and are so happy we did. This is our second shark rotator vacuum. The first one still works great, just wanted to upgrade. LOVE the new features such as the top lift away detachment and when the vacuum is in an upright position, the brush roll stops.
