I loved this vacuum! I took amazing care of it. Yet, the motor went out after only 8 months. Plus, I only have one 10x14 room that I vacuum! If I account for the fact that I only use it in traffic areas then it is like a 5-7 area.It worked so great. I loved the lightness of it. Yet, what good is a vacuum that won't suck, makes noise, and the motor goes out?

And this new vacuum is so good. I love how you could take it apart and clean under things and it can reach everywhere. And I have a dog and this vacuum gets everything. And I love that this vacuum the hair doesn't get stuck on the rollers.

I have bought 2 sharks previously ans wanted to upgrade This one has good power but it is heavy and very noisy it sounds like a old airplane The wheels give their imprint on the carpet The wire is rigid I am going to return it and get a model which is more friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away with Self-Cleaning Brushroll Upright Vacuum is a wonderful vacuum. This vacuum was very easy to put together. The vacuum even picks up the fine dirt. The amount of cat hair this vacuum lifted out of my carpet was shocking yet awesome. I use the lift away feature to clean my furniture and along the walls. You can set the button for floors, short carpet or thick carpet. The Shark Rotator is quiet compared to other vacuums I have owned.

This works on my floor and carpet. It make the nice lines in the carpet. its cleans up the smallest amount of dirt and haair

Out of the box, easy to assemble with no tools required. Everything snaps together easily. I like that you can remove the lift-away canister to get the under couches and hard to reach areas. Also a nice feature for cleaning stairs. The hose extension along with the wand is just long enough to reach high up spots near the ceiling that needs cleaning. The floor setting control on the handle is helpful. Makes for easy quick adjusts from hard floors to carpet. Just below the floor setting control is the suction control. Min for less suction and Max for more suction. Wow for the max suction! While the Max setting is awesome at getting up that deep dirt, it does make the vacuum harder to push around. The advertised "no more hair wrap" was something that I was looking forward to since I have long hair and I own a medium haired cat. For the most part the self-cleaning brush roll does its job, however there was a small amount of hair that was wrapped around the brush after use. Thankfully it wasn't too hard to remove. The vacuum came with 3 attachments, but only one (dust crevice tool) attaches onboard for storage. The pet power brush is air driven and is super loud! It doesn't bother me, but I could see it being a problem to some. The tool was great for removing high traffic cat areas ie sunbathing spots on the carpet or pet beds. Picked up the hair with little to no problems. I say little because you have to go over it a couple times if there is a good amount of hair. Not a fan of the ball and socket clip attachment for the hose on the wand. It comes undone way too easy! I was having to reconnect it quite often. Maybe a stronger socket grip design would help? Emptying the canister is easy. Remove the dust cup by pressing the button on the the handle and hold it over the trash and press the release latch on the front of the canister. Overall a great vacuum, just could use some improvements.

We have cats and the dander they leave behind drives my wife & I bonkers. This vacuum eliminates the cat dander problem easily & most efficiently. I especially like the self-cleaning brushroll. It is such a great feature of this awesome vaccuum. It is also not heave or bulky which helps a lot with kidding the kids to do chores.

I had smart strand carpet installed. That is a high pile, soft, and thick carpet. I selected this model because it has the different modes to switch from. I want to be clear, this is a very good vacuum and you would be pleased to have it. Do not buy if you have soft carpet. The beater brush will damage your carpet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't say enough good things about the Shark® Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® with Self-Cleaning Brushroll Upright Vacuum! I love that the canister detaches to make it easy to maneuver in tight spaces and up and down the stairs. The attachments are awesome! We use them to clean between the couch cushions, ceiling fans, floor fans, baseboards, curtains. We have a different Shark upright vacuum that we've used for YEARS and it's been phenomenal, but the suction on the Shark® Rotator® Powered Lift-Away® with Self-Cleaning Brushroll Upright Vacuum cannot be matched! We have to vacuum everyday because we have kids and I'm always surprised at how much dirt, dust and hair this thing picks up every single time! It's also quiet, not that it matters because we have kids so quiet doesn't really happen here, but we can vacuum after they go to bed without fear of waking them. If you're looking for a vacuum that will do everything you want it to do and then some, look no further, friend!
