This set is great! The entire family plays together. The kids love this set and want to play with it all of their spare time. It is sturdy and performs well. The only thing that is not great is that the rope flys off of the pole every so often, but I think we didn't tighten the clasp well enough. We are so happy that we have this great birthday gift!!!

The set was sent as a birthday present for my five-year old grandson in Oxford, Ms. When the package arrived, a bolt was missing, so he didn't get the present and my son just returned it to the store. I read that other people also had missing parts on this item. You need to do a better job with quality control...

We have used Lifetime products (from tables to basketball hoops) for years and always loved their stability and durability.  We have several of our kids that love tetherball, however they are big teenage boys now and we felt like we would have to bury the pole in order to get it stable enough and so we never bought one. But Lifetime was able to step up to the plate and design a tetherball pole that can handle the centrifugal force our teens will put it through!  The new stabilizer kit seems simple enough, but it provides incredible stability.  In the pictures, our 5ft 9in 14-year old is facing off with his 6ft 15-year old brother, and you can see that the base isn't lifting and the pole is holding true.  The other picture is our 10-year old showing off his win against Dad! The system is very easy to put together and you can be ready to play in 20 or 30 minutes.  We just used water to fill the base and it worked well enough.  Sand would make it even more solid.  We have a nice open area in the back that our kids are always walking past, and it only takes a few minutes to hurry and play a game and assert who is king of tetherball on your way through!  Love the system and love Lifetime.  Thanks for taking a classic and making it work so well!

I called to get a replacement tetherball for our Lifetime pole. We’ve had this in our backyard for many, many years. The kids love to play it. It’s always a great piece of entertainment when others come to visit. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and shipped a new ball with string and a clasp at no charge. The package came way sooner than expected. I am very pleased with the service.

i bought this as a Christmas present for our 7 yr old grandson. Within 3 months the pole became Unstable and listed. loosely at a 45degree angle. I kept tightening the base bolts at the base until the were extended past the base bottom. This made the base even more unstable. I had to shorten the bolts by cutting them. The only children using this were 7/8 yr olds and grandpa. The base had 220 lbs. of dry sand. I'd place a picture but it times out.

Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Tons of fun. We've played on this for hours. Especially love the soft ball...better than the ones on the playground. Might want to update the photo on here though. It shows a white area whereas mine is yellow.

I bought this a month ago and the whole family loves to play with it. The most difficult part of the assembly was trying to stuff 150 pounds of sound into a small hole. If not for that design issue, I'd say it's the perfect outdoor gift for kids and adults.

I bought this for my teen-age son. I have had such a great time watching him and his friends play (very aggressively I might add). These guys are all about 6 feet tall, but the game held up extremely well and provided hours of fun. We've also had substantially smaller kids play and they had a great time as well. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this. Sturdy and easy to set up....Bought it to relive my youth and play tetherball with my grand kids. I wish they included extra plugs, as my youngest grand son popped out the plug the first day and hid it somewhere.... But other than that I LOVE IT, NO REGRETS AND I AM THINKING OF BUYING ANOTHER ONE FOR THE OTHER GRAND PARENTS HOUSE!

My Grandchildren love this! I find it to be sturdy (which I was concerned about). I even play it. It was not super difficult to put together. I did it alone and I am 60 years old. Just follow the directions. I love the soft touch ball too. It doesn't sting your hands like our old tether did. I'm very happy with the purchase.
