Really poor product

Purchased this for my new home little less than a year ago. Started to sound funny a couple months ago. Now it doesn't work at all. Toaster stopped working then the unit as a whole wouldn't stay on for longer than a few seconds at a time. Not worth the money when I purchased it thinking it would last longer than a year.

Great until it wasn't

I loved this compact oven (it looks great on our countertop) but then the dial that allows you to switch between bake, broil, etc. stopped working so now it's basically useless. We did use it often and I will say that it bakes evenly and broils nicely. But we only had the oven for a year and a half and I expected much better quality from KitchenAid.

Was happy with Simple to Use Toaster Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 7 months ago to replace a very old and warn out toaster oven that I used for everything daily. Would have given 5 stars, except I had to return it to KitchenAid for warranty replacement this week.

Better than I imagined

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had a better piece of toast in my life. This oven does it all. I've cooked toast, banana bread, bacon, home-made French fries, and a burger. I can bake, broil, or toast. It doesn't heat up the whole house. Easy to follow instructions. I would buy again and recommend to friends and family.

Great oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this a couple months ago, exactly what I wanted in a compact oven. I use it every day to toast bread and cook frozen meals. It's also nice that it's just the right size to use for casseroles and medium sized trays (works great for chicken breasts!). Easy to clean with the crumb tray that pulls out of the bottom. Overall am excellent quality oven, I rarely use my full sized oven because this heats up so much faster, and it's more energy efficient.

OK But not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an old one that the temp. was stuck on 450. This is smaller than I thought and it does not tell you in the description that when using the bake function the top burner is always on with convection on. I feel it is more like a broiler than a baker, even when using the middle position as suggested. So far I am disappointed.

Effective but loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this toaster oven for about 4 months and it works really well, heats up quickly and the temperature is fairly accurate, but it has become rather loud over the last month or so. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

Not quite what I hoped for, but keeping it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get zebra stripes on toast, one side darker than the other. First unit failed on 2nd or 3rd use (lemon?), but the second unit has been solid for months. Like the dials over lcd, but why a different timer knob when baking/broiling versus when only toasting. Outside gets warmer than expected based on other reviews I read, but better than my previous toaster oven.

Stopped working after 13 month...

Knobs don't function. When baking or cooking turns off. Light blinks on and off, need to unplug and plug back in. I have thrown out baking as thought oven was working.... I only bought this one as my older kitchen aide for 4 years, thought this one would do the same.

Adequate Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this compact oven this week to replace my old Black and Decker one which had digital read outs. I normally use my compact oven more than my stove oven. Although I haven't put my new KitchenAid one through its paces, I found that I really miss the digital readouts and regret that I didn't look for one. The 'dial' system is not self intuitive and had to read the manual to figure out when the oven was pre-heated and also discovered that the bake cycle is automatically a convection oven. There is no choice which I did have on the Black and Decker one. Most of my small appliances are KitchenAid and have loved all of them. But I am disappointed that I didn't search out a 'digital' read out toaster oven with an optional convection oven cycle. With time and use I'm sure my new KitchenAid will be adequate as most reviews I read recommended it as a good value.
