This Product has Great Features

I have owned a 5000 watt Generac generator for almost twenty years and it has never let me down. It has a rope start on it and my wife and I both are now in our seventies and have difficulty pulling the rope to start it. I felt it was time to get a another generator with electric start. I purchased the Generac 7500E and it starts beautifully. This product has some great features. I like the low noise level, the ease of operation and the features like the hour meter, the built in gas gauge, battery charger and outlet covers. I use it for home back up. I know that I will be protected in an emergency. Great Product!! Roger 73

Has everything I need!

This is an excellent generator for the price. Starting with the person that took my order, he answered every question I had and it took no time at all to get it ordered with a delivery date that was met! Assembly was a snap. It took no time at all! I put 4x4's under the frame then installed the axle brackets and the axle. The tires were just a bit wider than the pallet, so once the tires were installed, all I did was roll the generator off the pallet! It started up easily and all plugs put out the voltage that was labeled! I took it to my deer camp and ran the cabin without a hitch! It is a slight bit noisy, but if I have a choice of noise or no electricity, I will take the noise any time!! I have not run my house with it yet, but that is coming up soon. Living on the gulf coast, you never know when a hurricane will come in on you and I will be prepared!! At this point, I give this generator an A++ rating! Once I run the house on it, I will give an update!

Snap to set up

At this time all I have to go on is the initial set up as I bought this for power outages in our home. If it works as nicely when we have a outage as it did in set up it will give my wife and I a peace of mind which we have not had since we bought a home in this area.

Needed for immediate concerns that we may need it

Having no backup plan for heat and concerns we may lose electricity with forecasted temperatures at -33°. I wanted piece of mind knowing it would sufficiently power our furnace and any other things we need. Started right up on first pull, battery wasn't charged straight out of box when I did initial start, but works now that it has been charged. Great product.

Only generator I considered buying.

Great product, well made, starts immediately with electric start. I only ran it for a short time after installing the house electrical transfer panel. Generator handled everything with no problem. I do wish that there would be an oil filter for the engine. I know someone with a 10,000 watt generator and that has an oil filter.

Overall verry good, but needs a couple of things

Set up is easy except for the battery connections. Took almost an hour to get them connected. Had to bend the positive lead tab inorder to connect it to the terminal. I think this could be easily fixed by rotating the battery 180 degrees and changing the length of the battery cables. The battery clamps would have to be also changed. Would be a bear for one person to assemble. Fortunitely i have a hoist in my garage. Started within 3 seconds. Would be very nice to have a volt and amp meter.

excelent portable generator.

Purchased this generator after Hurricane Michael. I used it to run refrigeration, medical equipment and my well. It had absolutely no problems carrying the load. It is a quiet generator and ran for about 14 hours on a tank of gas. I highly recommend this generator.

Great Generator

This is a great unit. I live in a colder climate in a home with base board electric heat. The unit handles the house load well. I had no problem with the 2 ton heat pump/air conditioner. Assembly was easy enough, but instructions on wheel assembly could be improved with larger diagram. This unit is heavy. The pneumatic tires are good. the only negative is the wheels should be bearings instead of bushings. This could make the unit a little easier to move around. Unit is a little loud, but that can be expected with a 30HP engine. A second muffler attachment could help if it didn't place to much back pressure on the engine.

GP15000E Leaks Fuel From Between Fuel Vent and Tank

Two days after receiving my GP15000E I filled fuel tank to just below the fuel fill neck (instructions show to fill 1/2" below inside top of tank). I had my generator sitting on my driveway (slightly un-level surface. I started the generator and noticed a lot of gas leaking from between the fuel vapor return valve and top of gas tank (the gas was running down onto the hot exhaust and engine). I quickly hit the shut down button and feel extremely lucky I did not have a fire and explosion. I notice that the fuel vapor valve and tank do not have a good seal to prevent fuel leakage. I have contacted Generac for service.
