It stands out for its substantial output, multi-fuel adaptability, and safety focus. While it leans into simplicity over tech-savvy features and isn't the lightest or most efficient, it packs an outstanding value for serious backup power needs.

This generator is all that the advt. said about it. It arrived on time and truck driver even offered to take the cardboard packing back.
It was simple to put together and the directions on the box were a big help too.I put it together wheels and handle, put the oil in and it started right up. The battery does not charge when it is running so a battery maintainer should at least be mentioned in the ads. I bought one soon after. Thanks PED good job!

Generac Generator

I bought the GP8000E to replace my Honda 7000 that was over 25 years old.

The setup was relatively straight forward except for attaching the battery cables. When I unclipped the zip tie holding the battery leads for shipping, I didnt notice that the power connector for the starter had become disconnected, probably when I cut the zip tie.  

I called Generac Support as the electric start was not working and they had me check all the connections including the power connector for the starter.  I connected it and the generator started right up.

I've only had it for a month but I love it as its easy to operate.

Great Features

I was able to get this generator on sale. So I was able to purchase a larger one than originally intending to buy. It has all the features I need in a portable generator.
It was easy to assemble and it started right up after adding fuel. I have not had to use it yet for emergency power but it should be able to handle all of our basic needs.

This product has every thing I need in a portable generator

Generac GP7500E performs as noted in sales literature. Purchased as temporary backup house power. Test run confirmed this unit runs minimum house appliances (2 split aircon units, refrigerator, tv, WiFi, house receptacles and lights). It is a bit loud, but appears to be quite fuel efficient.

Works as advertised.

Turned it on and no electric powe on all the outlet. Pressed the circuit breaker still no power. Got a pencil a pushed harder and got power. Those buttons have to be pushed in deeper than I would have expected . Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. We have been lucky, haven't lost power yet.

Easy start

This generator performs very well. I really like the fact that the 240 volt plug has a real circuit breaker rather than the pop out type. Makes a big difference in hot weather. The only thing I don't like is that it does not charge the battery when running. After multiple starts you have to charge it with a charger.

Overall a very good product.

its a piece of junk right out of the box..they keep giving me the run the around.dont buy a  generac..has 9.2 hours on it and wont start.do not buy a generac of any kind this is 2 generators now.both are junk

Purchased this portable generator, had a problem with it after 15 min. of running.. Called for assistance and No One would come to my house to repair it. They only would come if it was a standby generator. I like Generac Products  but my was 450 pounds and I could not service it myself. Plus it was under warranty.

Poor Warranty Assistance

Unit was defected. No output power. None of authorized shop recommend can fix it. Could not refund to due to crazy FleetFarm policy. Running around for 2 weeks trying to get it fix. Loss $20 to drain gas not cover by warranty. Terrible experience.  Don't recommend it.
