Fires right up and hardly needs to be choked. The airless wheels make it easy to maneuver. The handle that raises/folds also makes it easy to move. Haven't had to use it for a power outage...yet, but have tested it on power tools and it ran them without any problems

Our portable generator is the perfect size for our current home needs. We purchased it to run our home in emergencies. We have lost hundreds of dollars in freezer food in the past due to outages. We bought our portable Generac to make sure we can function in any kind of emergency; at home or, if we have to relocate temporarily for some reason, it can go with us. We also plan on getting a larger permanent Generac in the near future, to monitor our home all the time and run it when needed. We trust the Generac name and feel safe and protected knowing it is here.

I waited a long time to buy the right generator and the Generac 7500E was what I was looking for. I could go on and on about the 7500E. It has everythng anyone could want in a portable stand-by generator. I am very pleased and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality generator.

I needed a generator that could power the 240v well pump as well as a few outlets and refrigerator during any power output. This Generac model came up at a great price, I could not pass it up. Unit looks basic, but has all the features and power I needed. Assembling the unit is simply other than the cotter pins for the wheels. Simpler bow tie cotter pins would have made things easier due to the restricted space due to the battery. An internal charging system that would charge the battery while operating would have also been nice. Unit is quite for the power rating. Unit is heavy, so bring a helper when you buy.

this machine is a beast! it is heavy and powerful and should provide the essential back up power my home needs. The manual for the initial set up was small in size which was a shame as a big machine should equal a big picture. the generator is on wheels but is not easy to move as it is soooo heavy. it also would have been nice if generac offered a custom cover for the machine as well.

I purchased this because I am tired of all the power outages in our rural area. Right out of the box this generator was easy to assemble. Filled it w/ gas and oil and the unit fired right up. I also purchased a 75 ft power cord so I could run generator from my shed to eliminate noise. Unit powered the entire house (don't have air conditioning but do have well, septic and sump) without any issues. First test very positive now waiting for the next power outage to occur. This generator has given me a piece of mind when storms approach. Well worth the money.

I have only owned this product for a short time but it powers my furnace, sump, fridge & freezer. I have not pushed it any further but that's the coverage I need if I get in trouble. However; I would like to have some one tell me how to replace the muffler. I want a very portable & quiet power source!!!

Even though I have not used the generator for a prolonged period yet, I am impressed with the many features and top quality of this product. It has every feature I was looking for in a generator at a reasonable cost. It is very heavy, but that is to be expected with a generator of this size. The fact that it comes with a sturdy folding handle and wheels is certainly a plus. I am a bit concerned about the COsense feature after reading other reviews that describe problems with it. While it seems like a good idea in theory, it may not be a good idea in practice if it shuts the unit off frequently in a well ventilated area. I agree that a bypass feature should be added for those owners who are interested. I am definitely interested in such an option. The bypass option should be provided by Generac at a reasonable cost with appropriate installation instructions. This might prevent owners from tampering with the COsense switch themselves and possibly bypassing it incorrectly. Please let me know if Generac develops an approved bypass option.

I have used a Generac generator ( XL4500 ) for over 20 years and have been very happy. I purchased your new 6500 and will use the old generator as backup. Your 6500 starts easily, works well, and handles my power loads very well. The generator uses a bit more fuel than I thought it should. An idle mode when not in heavy use would be helpful to conserve fuel. Also, I have had many problems with the CO sensor tripping off, even when the generator was fully outside. With swirling winds it has shut down for CO sense too many times. Installing a bypass switch for the CO sensor, with appropriate instructions verifying that you are not protected from CO, would be helpful for places where people need to run the generator close to a building or under a roof away from rain/snow. It can be an easy redesign. I will use my generator in bypass mode successfully for a long time.

This has been a great unit right out of the box. Easy to assemble, simple easy to read starting and usage instructions, portable and enough power to maintain my home in a safe and functional state during a power outage. Easy electric start for my wife if I am away on business. Great generator, bought 2 more for my children's homes.
