Change it back

Anyone who uses Country Crock for a long time has now noticed the flavor change and your food taste like that flavor. Mac and cheese tadte aweful, eggs etc.. They changed the ingredients in it and it is nasty. I know this, I use to merchandise it and had to go through a complete PK training in Atlanta for it.

Simply butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this butter in exchange for a honest review. This butter is a great asset to any meal. It adds calcium and flavor to every dish. The container is versatile and does not take up too much space. I have been more healthy lately, however when I use butter this is my choice. Whether you are baking or frying the flavor is unique.the butter is not heavy and does not weigh on you after eating it. Super great addition I will be buying more!

I grew up on country crock...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] but never really thought to use it for baking. I use butter. I tried 3 different recipes but was not a fan. I prefer baking with butter. It is good for grilled cheese, baked potatoes & toast though!

Terrible new spread

Remember the old saying-----"if it isn't broke, don't fix it"---------the original spread was great-----my great grandson loved it. I bought some of the new and spread it on bread for him and he refused to eat it saying it was "not good". Threw it away and won't buy any more

Our Favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country Crock Original is the go-to favorite for my family! Being easy to spread makes it versatile in that it's ready to use whenever we need it. We don't have to wait for it to melt to spread on toast... it's always ready to go without compromising flavor!

Please bring back the old recipe

I want to begin by saying I have been a loyal Country Crock customer for a couple decades, probably longer. Your butter spread was the best! I preferred it to real butter and all of the other margarines and spreads out there. My 14 year old son and 11 year old daughter really loved it as well. It was the only kind my son would eat. A few weeks ago, I purchased the new simpler recipe in the square/rectangular container. No one in my family likes the taste. I have searched multiple stores to see if your older recipe was still in stock anywhere and no luck. Please bring back your old recipe. I tried the Country Crock sticks and they have a different taste than the spread from the tubs we used to buy. I believe the older spread had 51% vegetable oil. The sticks have 60% and the new recipe has 40%. The 51% must be the ideal number because that stuff was great. I understand your company trying to maximize sales and if more people like the new simpler recipe, good for you. However, I noticed from your website many people complaining about the new recipe. There must be a lot of us who prefer the old recipe. Why not produce both kinds? I regret to say I can't buy Country Crock any more unless you bring back that “great, great” product you used to produce. Thank you for making the best product out there for all these years. I will have to search for the next best thing now. I appreciate your time regarding this matter. Sincerely, Tony

Used to LOVE it!!

We used to use it very often and recently we noticed it doesn't melt properly in the pan to cook pancakes anymore. It looks clumpy and disgusting like sour milk products. It doesn't "melt". It starts to spit and make a mess. It doesn't move around the pan with the spatula. It separates. We put it off to a bad batch last time but I just opened a new one and same thing. The "New Simpler Recipe" isn't working. Did you try cooking with it before you sent it out? It used to taste so good that we wouldn't make pancakes, french toast or potato pancakes without it. We didn't even like eating those things in restaurants because they taste better with Shedd's Spread.

Original Spread, new recipe

Dislike the new taste... Yuck. Will need to go brand surfing. I loved the taste of the old original, the first time I put this on a bagel i truly thought it had gone bad. Will not purchase again, and I am someone who cooked with it, slathered it on my bagels, corn. It is awefull!!!!! I am someone who rarely seeks out the site to give a reveiw. I am sad.

I didn't care for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this in several recipes as I wanted to give it a fair chance. In all my recipes it just didn't deliver the flavor we like. We are purists though, and prefer butter to any alternative so I am a bit biased. We all felt the texture was a bit off also so I would not recommend or buy this again. I received this product free for testing purposes from @influenster #MakeItYours.

I'm not impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically only use butter however, decided to try this product. It is extremely salty, has an undesirable texture and a strange after taste. I think it may be okay for baking but it's definitely not something I'll try again.
