[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried Country Crock butter until recently. I used it as part of my annual mashed potatoes recipe and it was a hit. The butter is extremely soft and smooth. My favorite is spreading it over warm toast. The texture is creamy and does not taste heavy.

Have when purchasing Country Crock spread for many years. However the new rectangle container is awful. The lid constantly comes off allowing all kinds debris to fall into the container. I now have started purchasing another product simply BC if the lid. I've had to throw away multiple containers BC the lid falls off so easy

I want to begin by saying I have been a loyal Country Crock customer for a couple decades, probably longer. Your butter spread was the best! I preferred it to real butter and all of the other margarines and spreads out there. My 14 year old son and 11 year old daughter really loved it as well. It was the only kind my son would eat. A few weeks ago, I purchased the new simpler recipe in the square/rectangular container. No one in my family likes the taste. I have searched multiple stores to see if your older recipe was still in stock anywhere and no luck. Please bring back your old recipe. I tried the Country Crock sticks and they have a different taste than the spread from the tubs we used to buy. I believe the older spread had 51% vegetable oil. The sticks have 60% and the new recipe has 40%. The 51% must be the ideal number because that stuff was great. I understand your company trying to maximize sales and if more people like the new simpler recipe, good for you. However, I noticed from your website many people complaining about the new recipe. There must be a lot of us who prefer the old recipe. Why not produce both kinds? I regret to say I can't buy Country Crock any more unless you bring back that “great, great” product you used to produce. Thank you for making the best product out there for all these years. Tastes just plain awful ! Can't describe the taste . A disappointment on a product that my whole family plus grandchildren used for years ! Why change something that everybody loved to something terrible !! Now need to find a new product. Like the new packaging but that's it.

We have used country crock original for many years. Sorry to say we will not be using it any more. Your new "simple recipe" original is way off base, flavor wise. I think this is a bad move. Why mess with something that worked. You lost another customer.

I thought what we had purchased had gone bad in store, that's how bad it tasted to me. We returned it and bought another container from a totally different store. Still tasted weird. Have read numerous reviews and glad to hear I'm not crazy! . Many others say the same. I do believe we will have to find another alternative to Country Crock .

Dislike the new taste... Yuck. Will need to go brand surfing. I loved the taste of the old original, the first time I put this on a bagel i truly thought it had gone bad. Will not purchase again, and I am someone who cooked with it, slathered it on my bagels, corn. It is awefull!!!!! I am someone who rarely seeks out the site to give a reveiw. I am sad.

If you haven't tried it, do it and make it your family favorite to! Nice taste, smooth texture and we love it on our fresh baked banana bread

I have been faithfully using Country Crock for 20+ years. I purchased the "new recipe" yesterday. It tastes really bad. Whether cooking with it or using it as a spread. A new healthy option is great for those who want it. But you really should bring back the ORIGINAL recipe. Until then, I have to find a new butter..thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country Crock is delicious! I love how smooth it is and how easy it is to spread even when it is right out of the refrigerator. I think the taste is good- it's not chemically and it tastes very buttery so it isn't like spreading nothing.
