I love the old original Country Crock and have used it for years, and so do my parents. I bought a new 5lb. tub of the new recipe. It tastes awful! I gave it to my parents to try and told them if they don't like it to throw it away! What a waste! Please bring back the old recipe!!!!!

After buying this new product (recipe) I'm going to say I'm not very impressed. I only buy country crock but if you can't do better than this I'm looking to take my loyitity somewhere else. Yuck it smells and taste terrible. Please fix what you have broken and leave it alone!!!!

The new rectangular container is terrible.  It's very thin plastic, and the lid does not firmly snap on.  It come off very easily if bumped in the fridge.  It is not airtight, and the top layer of the spread turns a bright yellow color if not used for a few days.  The container is not worth saving for leftovers, etc. so more plastic is being discarded in the trash/recycle.  Also the new recipe tastes bad.  I will not be buying Country Crock in the future.

I purchased the "new Country Crock" and spread it on my toast. I could taste the difference immediately. I told my husband it tasted weird. Of course, he laughed and told me it was my imagination. I couldn't eat the toast or anything else with new Country Crock

Shed Spread Country Crock has been a staple in our house for 15+ years, the change to the New Simple Recipe was a huge mistake. Taste is terrible! The first, new simple recipe, container we purchased had an unusual taste and had seperated from the sides. Looked strange and when turned upside down water just poured out. Tried using Country Crock in Mashed Potatoes as we always do and we couldn't eat them. Thinking that this container may have spoiled we tossed it out and purchased a 2nd time. Big mistake because results were the same! We have used Country Crock in so many things, always pleased and never worried how it would turn out. I'm left with no other choice but to find a replacement. By reading other reviews I am not the only one that takes alot of pride in the meals we prepare and it is a shame that this "New Simple Recipe" is an end of once was a great product!

I'm sorry, but the new recipe is terrible. I've been using Country Crock my whole life as a substitute for butter and always been satisfied. But this new recipe is no good. I'm not upset that it changed -- I'm always open to change -- but the change still has to taste good even if it's different. This does not taste good.

Please change it back I've eaten this butter all my life and raised all my kids on this butter . The new recipe is horrible no one in my house will eat it I've been trying every butter I can to find a new one but none taste good to me . Please please please bring back the the original

I thought I had gotten a bad batch until I went online to contact customer service and found that you had "refined" the taste.... #1 It doesn't melt right....#2. It tastes terrible... Whatever you have done to make it more healthy has ruined the spread. I will not be buying it again until you fix this. If yo want to make a healthy alternative, then make another style. Don't ruin something that was perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After tasting this spread and looking at the ingredients I was appalled. The taste is inferior to butter and why would anyone put all of these chemicals in their body when a tiny bit of natural butter would do the trick. Would never buy for myself. I received this product free in exchange for an honest review.

It's got this spoiled tang to it. When I first started eating it, I thought it was spoiled or something. But no. That's just the way it tastes. Just dang awful. It doesn't even taste like the original that I used love. Save your tastebuds the agony of having to endure this awful recipe and don't buy it. I certainly never will again.
