Buy and use this as weed killer around my property so I don't put down chemicals that would harm the wildlife. Works great on my limestone gravel driveway

Love the salt the price was ridiculous! $25 a bag was a little steep. I found it cheaper and they wouldn't let me cancel the order and I had plenty of time but they still never ever again shoppers beware check it out before you spend that money. I found it for eight dollars a bag in the store.

This review addresses price and convenience more that Morton Pool Salt quality. However I believe the Salt quality to be good and it certainly did what it was suppose to do for my pool water chemistry. That said.... I had to refill my 30,000 gallon pool this week. I have previously bought salt from local pool store and have been satisfied. However, having to add 19 bags I know it was going to be expensive. I looked at Walmart and a couple other stores locally and found nothing. Then I looked online for salt prices just to try to negotiate a bit with the local pool store. While online I found I can order from Walmart online and pick up in store same day. I did this and it was awesome. When I arrived at walmart the salt was paid for, on a cart and ready to go. Follow up: I came up short and needed to order more. I did so. Days later my wife bought some pool accessories at Walmart and my wife said they had the salt right on the shelf with the pool supplies inside the store. I had been looking outside by the water softener salt, etc. Long story short, I could have just picked up salt off the shelf at Walmart but feel the 'order online, pick up today' option was still easier for me. I will say I tend to avoid Walmart when I can just because it is so crowded and big, etc. However for pool salt I have a new supplier. Good Luck!

The salt is pure and the bags are easy to carry. DO NOT expect this salt to dissolve quickly as it is granular not a fine powder. Shipping for the bags was strange: the first 7 bags came in boxes (1 per box), 2 came with no box and a shipping label on the bag, and the third came taped up like it was used in a gym for a punching bag. I am still trying to figure out how to get a refund on the torn bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the BEST pool salt and it sells out quickly. Other brands contain sand that clogs my pool cleanser. I will always purchase Mortons!!!!

walmart is a life saver for my back. morton salt is the best for our salt water pool, but the 40%23 bags (which are necessary for our pool) are tough for an older lady to manage.

i have tried 3 diferent salts, this one seems to work the best. It also seems to last longer than the rest. P.s. if you have a salt water ionizer, clean it befor you add salt. I did not know to do this and ended up with way to much salt in my pool after I cleaned the ionizer. There is a great how to video on you tube that walked me through it.

Switched to a salt system on my pool. Needed 800+ lbs of this salt to take care of business. I had read good things about Morton Pool salt and the price at WalMart was the best, it beat out my pool service and local retail pool outlets. I like the sturdy plastic handle on the bag, it makes it so much easier to carry it. And believe me, when it's 800 lbs. you want those handles! When I put it in the pool I just layed the bags around the perimeter with about a third of the bag over the edge and took a box cutter and out it went. With a little bit of brushing it dissolved in about 10 minutes and is now doing it's job. I'm buying Morton Pool Salt and I'm buying it from WalMart.
