Missing and damage parts

This was mine second order due to the first order was delivered to my place with missing parts so I've decided to reorder and pick it up at the store, but this time it came with damage parts. I would suggests not to order this online and maybe take your chance buy one at the actual store but hoping nothing is missing or damage.

Metal is solid, wood shelves are weak

The metal seems to be strong in these shelves, but the shelves are weak. From the description I knew it was particle board, but this is thin particle board. I have cabinets and other things made from particle board that I have put together over the years that are still going strong. I'm not sure if this will last if I put anything real heavy on it in the middle of the shelves. I think if they would have put some kind of finish on one side of the particle board it would be more stable. If they had these at the Walmart stores to look at before buying I would have never bought it. I did pick up at the Walmart store so I did not have some of the issues that I have been reading about where the box gets delivered damaged. But I bought two of these and in one of them I was shorted two beams. I used 2 of the beams from the other box to finish putting it together. There is a paper in the box to not return to the store, to call a number for questions, assistance on assembly, or parts. I called the number and left a message to call me back. Hopefully I will get the 2 missing parts or Walmarts will be getting an open box back.

BETTER BUY BIRDS EYE

Calling these MUSCLE shelving is a stretch the particle board shelves is less than 1/2 thick, once installed the side rails have a tendency to bulge out which means that you can't put heavy weights in the center of the shelves unfortunately I got what I paid for.

Durable shelf

Great shelf when set up. Takes a minute to put together but fairly easy. Shipped to me fine, but I can see how the box could get damaged and cause the shelves to be damaged because the package is extremely heavy. I bought four and none of the boxes had any damage.

WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

So I bought this for my husband on black Friday, we already had what we thought was the same shelf already and thought we were getting a deal. Well we were WRONG ! The shelves are made of particle board and when we were putting them on the shelving unit, it BROKE, somehow the description states that it will hold: Specifications 800 lb. Shelf capacity Can be assembled vertically or horizontally as a workbench Shelves adjust in 1-1/2" increments Assembles in minutes, no nuts and bolts required Attractive black finish This is worthless!!! There is no way that this shelf can hold 800lbs!!! I want my money back, if I would have know that this is what is I was ordering I would have have paid $20 more and got the REAL shelf that really can hold 800 lbs. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

Good Shelving Unit

This is not industrial-strength shelving, but it is relatively easy to put together (a rubber mallet is helpful) and seems pretty sturdy. I wouldn't put 200 pounds on each shelf, but feel comfortable with 100 pounds, give or take. It took one old man not quite an hour to assemble, and I'm happy with it, chipboard shelves and all. I will likely purchase a couple more.

No center brackets supplied.

My silver veined shelves all came with brackets to keep the center shelves together. These did not. I will be contacting the company and if they are supplied I will adjust my review. If they do not I will be returning these. I don't think that these are secure only being hooked together by a shelf. Also it severely limits where I put the shelves as I would have to have a shelf in the middle. Which I don't want. The pictures show a bracket and I feel they should have been supplied. Very disappointing.

OK Shelving........

I have had 4 sets of these shelves for a few years now and will say for basement/garage storage they are adequate. Over time I replaced all of the cheap thin press board shelves with 3/4" plywood because they all sagged in the middle and they are way more sturdy now. You get what you pay for.

Different assembly than the 18 inch version

After installing an 18 inch Muscle Rack I was confident in ordering the 24 inch version. I was disappointed to find that the design of the wider shelf was inferior. The 18 inch unit had steel sleeves to align the lower and upper vertical supports. This unit relies on the pins of the middle shelf to make the connection and keep the 1/16 inch vertical supports aligned. If the vertical supports were 1/8 inch thick it might have been all good, but I could not get the shelf pins to hold the ends of the supports to tolerance. I gave up and made it into two short shelf units. Also, if you adjust shelf placement after assembly, you can only lift on the vertical supports. If you forget and lift on a shelf, the pins come out of the vertical support, and it better not be the middle shelf! I like the weight bearing capacity and the adjustable shelf placement, but what would it have cost to include the alignment sleeves and plastic feet?

not as good as smaller version 18"w

1st, pkg had damaged, when i open the box i saw a long deep crack line on 2 boards, doubt it could hold heave stuff anymore 2nd, when i start assembling i noticed it has no connection part between legs (not sure how to call it, but if you also have smaller one you know what i am talking about), it gives me hard time to build. i could build 18"w one all by my self, this one i need at least 3 people to hold legs 3rd, when you move them, pls. be extra careful not to hold the upper part leg, you could disconnect them and upper part might fall, i almost got that, so, hold the lowwe part leg and move slowly with extra careful
