Great shelves

Read previous reviews that were mixed so we were a little nervous about ordering these. The boxes were not damaged at all when delivered, all components were fine & assembly was relatively easy. We are VERY happy with the finished product. Look great & gave us several options for shelf height. We ordered & assembled 6 for our basement & are ordering 4 more. We highly recommend!

WIMPY RACK rather than a muscle rack

This is a TERRIBLE QUALITY product compared to other similar rack I had bought from a different company. It should be called wimpy rack rather than a muscle rack. It is very shaky. One of the piece of the board was broken (small piece, not a big issue). They should also provide brackets to combine the posts and a cover for the end of the posts, which weren't included.

Shelf will not hold 30lbs

I purchased this January, 2017. I actually bought 2 since it was a bundle deal. I pput these units in the garage and use them to store holiday decorations. Each 18 gallon tote weighs no more than 15 lbs. One of the selves that only has 2 totes is bowing downwards as if the weight on the shelf was unbearable. Total weight on this shelf is about 30 lbs. The specs indicates the system holds up to 4,000 lbs. The shelves did not fit into their holding slots causing most of the shelf corners to break. Not worth it. I will go back to Edsel.

Disappointed! not as shown or described

The unit does not come with parts to build it as high as described! You have to buy connectors to build it 72"high. this will make it weak and flimsy IT is only two shorter units one w/3 shelves one with only 2 shelves. the cheap particle board shelves wont begin to hold the weight it promises! Disappointed you dont get what you think it is.

Don't bother

Bought 2 of these. Ordered Nov 6 supposed to arrive Nov 14 then Nov 15 and finally arrived Nov 16. The paint is chipped scratches all over the place on the rails. I need to repaint them There are no braces/joints to put together the vertical rails like for the same rack you can by at home depot. There is nothing in the product description online about it so you will know not to order it. The shelves are particle board 1/2 thick. Are they supposed to carry the load of 800lb each? I doubt very much

Great purchase

Delivered quickly (undamaged) and to my door. Everything there, but couplers to attach bottom to top. Not a big deal, however. We left a few inches at the top of the bottom unit and just slipped the top unit into it. Can separate by lifting up, but will not separate by moving around. I put together in just a few minutes and then slid it into the room where I wanted it. I did use “moving sliders” so I wouldn't scratch floors. Bought this for a vertical guinea pig cage. They love it! They have 3 floors to roam and everything is contained now! Would buy again.

Good but could use some updates

I have some older models of this shelf. The newer model doesn't come with the four little supports that slide over the top and bottom vertical posts that align the top half vertical posts to the bottom half vertical posts. Therefore, I find the new model a little less robust. Also, as with the old model, the shelves are very weak and will bow with heavy items. A 4x8 sheet of 3/4 plywood ripped to four 2x4 pieces works wonders to beef up four shelves of this unit. Overall, this is a pretty good unit especially if you can find it on sale.

Need plastic pieces that hold both portions tog

We bought one of these but can't remember the exact model. The issue we are having is the plastic pieces that hold the top and bottom portion together are missing. Is there a way to get four replacement pieces? It's the little plastic white piece that goes in each corner.

legs

it works good, I got 3 sets. one set I divided into two work tables with two 3/4" 2x4 foot plywood on top (4x8 divided into fourths). the only problem with the 72" unit was the legs. I had to put two screws in the upper legs to keep them on top of the lower legs, after that everything was fine
