(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have to be honest, I was so not expecting to like this product and didn't believe what the manufacturer was touting about the product . It's advertised as leak proof, microwave and dishwasher safe, as well as stain proof. But it is a Rubbermaid product so I decided to take a chance. So- I decided to give it a real test and work out. I put leftover lasagna in it and froze it for a week. Then I thawed it out and took it to work in my back pack. I checked it a few times on my commute to make sure it wasn't leaking, which it totally wasn't. I then heated it up for lunch and ate it directly out of the container. No creepy plastic taste, no leaks and the air vents when the lid is unsnapped work well. Then I rinsed out the container and was stunned to see zero stains. All of these things are amazing in them self but all in one container- amazing. This product is great for both adults and kids on the go. It's easy, lightweight and totally leak proof. Highly recommend this!

It’s lightweight, but to me, that didn’t translate to a good thing - it just feels incredibly cheap. I’m not impressed. Since the container doesn’t feel very strong, I stored things in it that I wouldn’t be sad if they get ruined (i.e. the container cracks) - cucumbers, apple slices, etc. As I said in my glass container review, my one compliant is the plastic handles and the corners - they’re really awkward. Additionally, the design of the mismatched corner shapes don’t make sense to me. They’re easy to grab, but the suction is so strong (which is a good thing, in a way) that they make the container slip out of my hands. Overall, I think this product is an interesting venture for Rubber Maid, but this specific container within this line is a complete miss. I would not recommend it to anyone.

These 2 snap lid with a rubber seal are great for securing food! When opening the lid - these have a suction that needs a little pulling on to get open.

I've always been a huge fan of Rubbermaid storage containers, but these Rubbermaid Brilliance Food Storage Containers really take it to a new level. The leak proof seals fit nice and snugly into the base of the containers and the click latches make it that much more secure. I threw one of these containers filled with messy leftovers in my bag without thinking twice and there was no mess when it came time to eat. They are also really sturdy. The plastic is very thick - but not too heavy. They are BPA free, which makes me feel safe saving our leftovers (and reheating) in them. I also love that they are freezer safe. I am a HUGE fan of freezer cooking and am always on the hunt for good containers that will hold up in the freezer. These are perfect for freezing individual portions of soups, lasagna, etc for my husband to bring to work. Disclosure: I was given this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

It has a stain sheild that helps prevent your container from being stained. It's clear all the way around, and I think that is a nice feature. As far as the practicality of this container, it's excellent. It's large (18 cups), so you should be able to fit almost any bag or box of cereal you buy in this container. It's also airtight. This keeps your cereal fresh longer than an open bag. It also keeps unwanted pest out. This is a must have for any well organized pantry.

It keeps everything separated and the salad dress section is a nice touch to keep salads from getting soggy. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love Rubbermaid Brilliance. I washed it in the dishwasher with no issues. I microwaved it without issues or having to use a different lid. The vent holes are great for that. I also loved the way it didn't leak in my lunch bag so opens up so many more lunch options for me now. I'm planning on switching all of my current containers to Brilliance!

I received the six piece set to review and it is now my favorite go to for storing and transporting my made at home lunches and any left overs. The containers locking lid feature keeps the food's integrity intact and super fresh tasting for longer than my normal storage options. They are the perfect size for my lunch portions and the stacking feature is space efficient in my already crowded fridge. I've had no issues with spills when transporting lunches in my bag to work. Not to mention, the quality of the material is fantastic, I can clearly see my food in hi-def even after multiple washes in the dishwasher, there is no fogging or dulling of the material. I am definitely going to buy more of these and get rid of my other food storage containers.
