Latest Firmware update degrades quality

I bought this about 1 month ago and was initially happy with it. Now however, after the latest Firmware update, image quality is not a crisp and there is noticable brightness adjustments from scene to scene. I am going to give this anouther 30 days. If I do not get the quality that I had when I bought it I will take it back

Awesome TV and picture 2nd to None, with one flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great TV. Perfect blacks. Color is great and brightness is more than adequate for my medium light living room. One major flaw, however, is that fact that the Vudu app crashes when you want to watch pretty much any movie. I have an extensive library on Vudu and want to be able to watch my movies with this amazing picture; however, everything I watch causes the app to crash. Sounds like this is a known problem, but this needs to be corrected ASAP as it renders my movie collection unwatchable on this TV. This is a Major problem!!!

Great TV excellent color purity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this TV about 2 weeks ago. I watched some videos about how to set it up properly (without expensive metering systems). I am extremely happy. I've read about the vivid colors and this is true because black is really black. I've been adjusting the picture on TVs since before there was color TV and it's all about black. I do not have the color gamut set to wide (less vivid) and this makes for much more realistic color in my opinion. One comment I have not seen is regarding the color purity. This is simply the best purity I have ever seen. There are no hot spots or color variations like you will see in many LCD TVs. EXCELLENT! Now all I need is the 4K blu-ray player I've heard is coming for Christmas.

I was most amazed by the size and how light it was for covering my wall. I am bingeing on movies I haven't seen this clearly since I saw it at the theatre.

Amazing Picture Quality!

Gave three stars for amazing picture quality. Unfortunately, only 6 weeks of ownership and TV has died!! In the middle of my watching a youtube video, everything turned off--no sound or picture! Faint flicker when I try to turn back on, but nothing! I've unplugged and re-plugged power--the light power indicator light turns on, but when I try to power on--nothing. Additionally, this product is VERY HOT. I know--if you enable energy saver it will save energy and emit less heat, but then the picture looks muddy and colors are not as vibrant. Only way to get that "ooh and ahh" from the picture is to turn off energy saver, but you must then crank up the A/C because you could feel the temperature in the room spike a few degrees after a half hour or so.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is beautiful. The picture is why I bought it. I am terrified of the thinness. The first one delivered was dog eared bent. It is that easy to damage it. So be very careful. I also think the HDMI ports should be on multiple sides of the TV. They are only on the left and this is more visible than I would like. If they were underneath or on the right I would never see them .

Thin and flimsy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture is OK. Has more motion blur than I would expect from a TV in this price range. Yet the best and worst thing about this TV is how thin it is. It is cool, but also made it hard to unpack and mount. It Now when I see a reflection I notice how ‘wavy' the screen is. All and all a good product.

Change the Channel and the Picture does not appear or if utilizing a blu ray the t.v. does not work at all. Total Disappointment. Great Picture when appears.

Good picture but I would not buy another one

If you need closed caption do not buy this brand of TV. As we have gotten older and have hearing problems we like to have closed caption on. Our old Vizio has the cc at the bottom. It was rearly a problem. We have two new LG's and both of them have the cc right in the middle oh the screen. Half the time it is right across people's faces.

Stopped working after 4 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this set 09-06-17 largely due to CR ratings. Tried to turn it on 01-07-19 and it is totally unresponsive. But at least it makes a clicking sound. The Sony I had before this never malfunctioned once in 10 years.
