I love that each slot on the wood storage block each have their own sharpener. The handle is smooth and easy to hold the knives, so when using, they will not slip.

You receive a variety of knives, including shears. They are in case in cutlery case which sharpens the knives while they’re in their protective environment. You can cut anything from Fruit vegetables to raw meat or possibly even bones. The blades are very sharp the base that the knives sit in is heavy and very sturdy. I am very pleased with these knives and look forward to using them more in the future. I would definitely recommend them as a gift or an enhancement to your own kitchen, love them! The safety features on these knives include being able to keep them in the case. Of course, with any sharp object, you have to handle it with Care.

The block is heavy duty so no movement when I pull a knife out to use. The surface of the block has a nice stainless steel plate for easy cleaning and looks very cosmetically appealing. Love how it matches my kitchen. Totally recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Calphalon 7 Piece Knife Set is very pretty and functional for my intended use. They are sharp! I hand washed and dried before my first use in soapy warm water. These knives are not to be thrown in the sink and soaked or placed in the dishwasher as this can cause rust. I do not have to use excessive pressure to sharpen knives, my natural motion does the trick when placing back into the self-sharpening knife block. The knives are not high carbon steel they are stainless steel. I have decided to use these with fruits and vegetables only. Thank You Influenster
