[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Calphalon 7 piece knife set contains a beautiful wood and stainless steel block that holds an 8 inch chef's knife, 6 inch utility knife, 6 inch serrated utility knife, 5 inch Santoku knife, 3.5 inch paring knife and kitchen shears. The knife blades are high carbon stainless steel blades. These knives have the name of each knife on the tip so you can easily know which knife you are using. The block has integrated sprong loaded sharpeners that keep your knives sharp for life. I needed a set like this and am so very pleased with their function, quality and the very nice look on my kitchen counter which especially match my stainless steel appliances. This knife set far exceeded my expectations! The knives must be handwashed and are very sharp.

The knife block contains an automatic sharpener in each knife compartment, so each time you pull out or put back a knife you sharpen it! Knives are great quality and feel good in the hand. I only wish there was a bread knife included.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this Calphalon Premier 7 piece knife set for a while now, and I find this set to be very well-balanced. It's fits well in my hand, is very sharp, and stays that way with its spring-loaded sharpener. The block is very well made. Nice looking on my countertop. Cleaning is as easy as a wipe with a sanitized cloth. The only thing I would change is removing the paring knife and kitchen shears and replacing it with a boning knife, but that's just me. My conclusion is that it's worth every doller.

The holder that they are in is durable, and does not take up much room on my counter which is nice! There are 5 knives, one which is serrated. Hurray! Love that one for cutting both tomatoes and bread. The kitchen scissors are most wonderful as we get Dinnerly, and open a lot of things! The self sharpening system is beyond amazing! 🤩 Who doesn’t like a sharp knife (and they sure are sharp!!) 🔪 I have only wonderful things to say about this set! You receive a variety of knives, including shears. They are in case in cutlery case which sharpens the knives while they’re in their protective environment. You can cut anything from Fruit vegetables to raw meat or possibly even bones. The blades are very sharp the base that the knives sit in is heavy and very sturdy. I am very pleased with these knives and look forward to using them more in the future. I would definitely recommend them as a gift or an enhancement to your own kitchen, love them! The safety features on these knives include being able to keep them in the case. Of course, with any sharp object, you have to handle it with Care.

The block is heavy duty so no movement when I pull a knife out to use. The surface of the block has a nice stainless steel plate for easy cleaning and looks very cosmetically appealing.
