The trash can was dented on the side upon arrival, figured it was during shipment. Did not want to go though the trouble of sending it back. other than that works fine. the previous one I had worked for (6) years, hope this will last just as long.

we had to return this b/c the plastic battery case did not work. you couldn't properly close the battery case and the batteries kept falling out into the trashcan. poor design and was a design flaw. would not recommend this to anyone

This is the second one of these that we have owned. The first one lasted 8 years and only used two sets of batteries. We thought they would last forever. We liked it so much we decided to purchase another one exactly like it. Our first one would have still been working fine, but small grandchildren would close it by hand and broke the lid gears off. The main switch on the back will discourage some tots, but ours are exceptionally bright and figured out the switch on the back by themselves!

This garbage can fits my space well because of the way it is turned so the lid opens from the short side. Sensor is working great so far (I've had it about a month). Lid opens quickly and stays open for a few seconds. I wish it had a liner. My previous foot-pedal stainless garbage can did, but this one does not. I hope my garbage bag doesn't leak!

I have three of these, all different sizes. I cannot live without them. So attractive, easy to use and keep clean. The batteries last for years, thought that might be a problem, but have only replaced once in 5 years. You have to get one, then you will want more.

I had a trash can similar to this one for years and it finally quit working. I looked at all of the usual places and found this one. I ordered it online and received it the next day. I love the fact that you don't need to touch it to open the lid. You just wave your hands over the top and it opens for you. Great product!

Worked great and loved it for 2 days, then it went dead and wasn't a battery issue. Returned it for a refund and had no desire to purchase this brand again so I bought an Eko unit-hoping for at least 4 days on this one since it was twice as much.... so far so good and I like the looks and operation better on the Eko unit

I've had one of these for 7 years but it finally quit working correctly. I presume that's because it was left partially in the elements (some inclement weather). But . . I loved its features of being able to just wave your hand or an object over the infrared sensor and have it open and close automatically. It was located in a not too convenient place on my patio. The one I receiced recently is identical to the one I'm replacing. It's a little over priced but I'm glad I was able to find a replacement like the one I had. I highly recommend this product.

I like the size of this - fits tall kitchen bags perfectly and I like the inner rim that holds bag in place. And it really is finger print proof. Other than that not sure I needed the fancy auto open feature. It opens every time I walk passed it. In the middle of the night not such a great surprise. Also makes kind of a loud mechanical noise every time it opens and closes.

I had one of these cans, for probably five years, when my spouse decided to wash the top...with the garden hose. Tried to dry out the insides, with a hair dryer, to no avail. Once I regained my composure, I immediately started searching for the best price, for a replacement. Walmart was the ticket. Free shipping, to my home, as well. This can is fantastic. The finish looks great, with my stainless appliances; the slim design let's me slip it in beside my pantry cabinet; and the motion sensor let's me easily dispose of two hands worth of stuff, without having to touch the can, not even with my foot - I hate those step-on cans. It's just one of those items that, once you get used to it, you don't want to be without. Highly recommend this product.
