Happy with the quick delivery of stainless trash receptacle. This is perfect for the spot I needed for it to fit in. Have another stainless can purchased at Sams and that one was larger in depth and is a truly sturdy can ,however just wanted a slimmer profile. This does exactly that. Was concerned the automatic opening would be annoying ( had one long ago). I think the slimmer profile makes this easier to avoid the constant opening. You also have the option to turn the auto feature off. This trade up can holds just as much as the larger one I am replacing.

Most excellent. This can opens and closes very quietly. I see no problems with the durability and if you r not abusive this can should last for ever. Easy to clean and plastic bags r placed very securely placed, so you do not need to worry about slippage. Nice and tall so you do not have to bend down. Don't forget to buy 4 D cell batteries. Over all very very pleased. Would even give as a wedding gift!

I love this trash can. It is easy to use and to put new bags in. I love the style of it and shape. The size capacity is perfect. I have had it for 3 months and have not needed to change the batteries. I do have to reset it sometimes when my son plays with it but you just press close and it works fine. I have even used this late at night with minimule light and it opens. Great item for the price.

Probably the only con I can see is the mouth opening is not that large. however the positive is the Garbage Can doesn't take up tons of space. Motion sensor seems to work well have few days of trying it. not too sensitive, but just right. I do like the lip/edge piece that you put over top the garbage bag to hold it in place (actually I think it was on my old can too, but I never used it; too lazy). This one works well, holds the bag in place well, and allows usage of all the space in the bag. I would highly recommend this can. I thought the price was a little steep at $35, but maybe not; seems like many of the stainless steel cans are overpriced. Guess everyone likes those colors. Also, not sure how long the 4D batteries will last (I threw that in, since I did not realize it took 4 D's...it may have said in the description, if it did, then my bad).

I read through all of the reviews and took the bad and less then stellar reviews with a grain of salt. And I'm glad I did. I've owned this can for three months now and it has been put through it's paces. Most days I babysit my very young grandkids for 10-11 hours and believe me they give this can a workout. It's the magic garbage can, because it opens and closes on it's own and is a continuous source of nonstop entertainment. When I received the can I was disappointed, because it arrived with a big ding in the side even though the shipping box was unscathed, so I know it had to happen at the factory. Poor quality control. I decided to keep it because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of sending it back. It performed well for about 3 weeks when I had a problem with the manual open button not working. I remember reading complaints about this happening to other buyers and since it is an electronic device I knew more than likely it needed a simple reset. A couple of minutes spent on Google provided me with the information I needed (it should have been included in the box with the can) to get it working properly again. A simple touch of the manual close button resets it and voila the manual open button works again. As far as odor control goes it's average like most cans. If you don't want smells coming from your can don't put stinky stuff or food in it. All disposable food goes out to compost and all food containers are washed out before being thrown away, if they can't be recycled. I have to deal with disposable dirty diapers because of 2 grandbabies and I put them in a diaper genie, not my garbage can. I don't want human waste smells wafting through my kitchen and house. Are there better cans on the market than operate faster and offer better odor control? Yes, but you are also going to pay 2-3 times more than you will for this can. I don't have the luxury of a fat bank account, so I am more than happy with this can and will be ordering another one for my home. I agree with another reviewer who complained about the rim that holds the bag in. It does make it harder than necessary to remove a full bag, but it is not a deal breaker. It does open by accident sometimes when we walk by, but overall I love this garbage can. It looks great, it's compact enough to fit in a small kitchen and still holds a standard 13 gal. kitchen sized bag. I've been using it for several weeks now and I love it.

We recently bought the stainless steel look trash can from Wal-Mart.com It is a very nice trash can. The family likes the fact that it opens by itself. I like the fact that the price was low. We had been looking for a while to find a stainless steel trash can that did not cost a lot and we finally found it. Great Product, just as advertised.

I really wanted to get a touchless trash can and this is the one to get. I've had it for 4 months now and it works great. Also fits in the spot I have in the kitchen very well. I think I've gone through one battery already but it gets used a lot so that OK. Looks great and a very good price. I shopped around and most others are twice the price or more for one like this and good quality. Would buy again and suggest to others!

I bought this trash can from Sam's less than a year ago and it just stopped working one morning. I changed the batteries, still nothing. It doesn't even work when you click open. I looked up trouble shooting to find that a lot of people have had these problems and more right around or just before having it for one year. Sadly I really enjoyed it until now.
