Good smart tv

We bought this to for our family to have in our living room. I personally love it because of all the features and apps it offers. I appreciate the fact that it has all the apps I needed and more. I have fun exploring this tv. We are so happy with it. Or all tv or products have these features.

My Vizio 55” tv was defective, there was a hardware failure. It worked fine until the tv stopped casting, and there were lines going across the bottom of the screen, it got so bad that lines were at the top of the screen also. I called the help line, and i found out that my tv had a hardware failure and it couldn't be fixed. My tv had a one year warranty, and it only lasted me 13 months. I couldn't get a replacement . I'm so disappointed.

Nice TV with good clarity!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice TV with a great picture. The menuing interface is sluggish. While making selections with the remote, its hard to select an item because it either over or under-shoots the item you want. When changing the volume, it continues to increase or decrease the volume after you stopped pressing the remote buttons.

Excellent display quality. Great features.

We have had this TV for a few weeks now. Easy to setup and get through the menu. Great app for use on your mobile device. When you have a young child in the house that is a game changer when they don't know where they put the remote. Only thing we have found is that the sound doesn't work sometimes on certain channels when switching from an app to antenna. Just need to switch to another app and back again and all the sound comes back.

Disappointed

When I purchase this tv back in June, I was excited because of all the functionality and characteristics of this model. After mounting and setting up the tv; I was trying g to find the option for adding new Apps. Although this model provides a # of apps, I wanted to install a few more. The most important app I tried to install was my Spectrum app. I use them as my cable and internet provider. I currently access their app via my Samsung smart tv which I was able to download the app without issues. I found out after speaking to a customer service representative that Vizio does not allow customers to download apps. I can cast from an iPad or IPhone to the tv but that's not what I want. I want to be able to connect to my cable channels as I do with my Samsung tv. I don't think this was thought out much by Vizio. Currently I'm forced to us my ROKU device to access my Spectrum app. That an additional cost because I had to purchase it. I feel that the manufacturer should have stated on the package that apps can't be downloaded because Vizio does not offer an App Store. To me this is not a “Smart TV”. If I can't download apps. Ie HBO which is not offered on the list. Lastly, I was told this is an ongoing concern by customers and VIZIO is working on it but no completion date scheduled. Very Disappointed!! The only consolation is the Tv has a beautiful picture and sound. I would receive on that level

Apps

For starters this 70 inch Visio TV is very nice. I also like that it has the watch free channels. I have been having a little bit of trouble trying to upload a app that I have on my phone to play on or download on the TV. I've also have had trouble trying to connect my iPhone to the iHome set up kit. But overall the TV is really nice and I'm very excited two start watching!

Great buy and great picture.

Bought this a year ago and planted it in my living room (opposite end of house from wi-fi router). Put in a wi-fi extender to make sure signal went through walls and doorways okay. Have not had any issues with streaming and use all the time. Even DVD player produces good pictures. And VHS tapes do okay. And using it as a monitor (i.e. ZOOM meetings or from an old laptop with HDMI) is fantastic. Software updates keep us current. Tech Support has been great too when an update did not fully install last week.

Great Features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the TV! Love the apps already they're ready for you to access. Easy to nagivate the features of the TV…changing the difference “brightness” of the shows you are watching. Just wish there was a way to download apps for extra customization

Good TV

I love my TV. The picture is beautiful. But as for the sound why is the volume so low? I do NOT want to have to purchase a sound bar just to be able to hear my tv. Also you should be able to add apps like sling. I have to attach my roku just to get sling tv, which is part of the reason I bought a smart tv because I didn't want all of this equipment and wires all over the place. All and all its still a quality product with all that it offers.

If you’d like any help adjusting your audio settings feel free to contact VIZIO support at 844-254-8087.  For top of the line audio performance, you may also look into purchasing a VIZIO Sound Bar, there are several models available with wireless subwoofers for enhanced bass, rear speakers for true surround sound, and our new line of Atmos Sound Bars. In regards to adding apps, you are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device.

Nice TV love all the features for the price

Only issue I had was getting the TV to display my Xbox one in 4k. Other than that I love the TV. The TV was bought for my Xbox one to allow me to use my Xbox one in 4k. Since it was a real pain in the butt getting that working is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
