I am very happy with this grill, but I noticed an annoying problem, hence only 4 stars. I know what I'm doing when it comes to cooking/grilling. The side burner grate is too low in my opinion. Meaning, when you put a pan on it, the pan is too close to the flame. I tried to fry some peppers with the flame on low and they still burned. For this reason the side burner is unusable for anything other then boiling water. I'm trying to reach customer service but they never answer the phone. The side burner grate needs to be higher.

This grill is well made and looks great in my backyard. It cooks evenly across all burners, something I've never experienced with other grills. For the price, this thing is absolute steal. I was looking at Weber grills at Home Depot that really didn't seem to be any better quality, were smaller, and substanially more expensive. This grill is quite large and will be great for BBQ's with my extended family. We grilled up 6 chicken breasts and 6 burgers tonight - all at the same time - with room to spare. The only negative is that this grill does not come set up for nat gas conversion by default and the instructions say a special kit is needed. Really, just the "special" tool is all you might want to consider buying but it is not a must. The process is fairly simple and requires just a 6mm wrench and a phillips screwdriver. You have remove the propane orifices from each valve (8 total) and that does require remove the long burners by unscrewing them at the back of the grill and pulling them out a few inches. You'll then be able to see the orifice on the bottom of each valve and can reach it from the the underside. The sear and pot burner require the same procedure. If you are not comfortable with minor assembly Sams Club has a service that will deliver and assemble this for you.

Bought this grill at Sams Club. Put it together and found cracks on the backside of the hood.Gas valve to the sear burner did not work properly. Plastic cover piece of the burner valve let the screw go thru. Embers sent out another hood and a replacement for the sear burner valve. Also there was no handle and mounting screws for the grease tray. Embers sent those out. The new hood that Embers sent me also had defects in the weld on the back of the hood and also a series of scratches on the front of the hood. I was unable to get Embers to correct this situation. It is poor quality on the welds and the scratches are damage. I also ordered a rotisserie from Embers that is supposed to fit this grill. It does not meet those standards. The mounting bracket interferes with opening the sear burner lid or the side burner lid if mounted on that end. The rotisserie rod is made in about 6 pieces that screw together and do not match up when put together and when they are put together they sag in the middle. Have been over a month dealing with Embers over the issues of this grill. Still have not used it. Sams says they will replace it or refund a return. It is a nice grill but it is not made to handle a rotisserie to stay mounted on the grill. The manufacturer left no space from the edge of the grill hood to the edge of the sear burner and side burner lids. If Embers would improve their quality issues perhaps people buying these grills would not have problems.

Very bad heat distribution ,takes long to heat up. cooking grids very hard to clean [cheap stainless]. Also was missing screw that mounts gas control valve to the side burner. chrome on plastic besels (behind knobs flaking off. Came that way right out of the box Igniter wire to sear was broken.Custumer service did send out new wire and evenually the screw and 2 besels.Now 2 others are flaking thier chrome off.

Converted it to natural gas and have used it one time. Cooks well. Working on getting the igniters for the the searing burner and the left most regular burners to work. Initially only 2 igniters were sparking after bending the tips closer to the burners I got 3 more to work. Once I get the igniter problem resolved I should be very happy with this grill. Working with 3 Embers for service support has been challenging hopefully I will get this resolved.

bought it a month ago, but, return it due to temperature will not go beyond 250.
