The Homedics Total Comfort Deluxe works well and provides humidity in areas or rooms up to 521 sq/ft. The tank holds a little more than 1.25 gal, has a run time of 85 hours and is programmable for up to 8 hours. I use this in the wintertime and place this between the three bedrooms when the furnace sucks the humidity out of the air. The amount of runtime will depend on the current humidity in your house. The unit is programmable for a set humidity level between 35% and 55% in 5% increments and has 5 levels of misting. The pictures depict a level 3 and 5 mist level. Besides the mist, the nightlight is a special touch as well. The warming feature does illuminate some bacteria in case some are concerned with this in the air. There are cleaning instructions and if you use tap water with minerals, you will need to clean the unit more often. If you can afford it, I would recommend using distilled water but if you run this every day, this can cost you an additional $1 a day. I have not used the oil tray so I can't speak to this. The rechargeable personal humidifier fits perfectly on a desk or nightstand. Wicks are needed to make this unit function and should be replaced every 2 to 3 months. Extras can be purchased in a box of 4 for $6. If low moisture levels in the house are a concern, this unit will provide the solution you seek. I have not had this unit for any length of time so I cannot speak to longevity.

Overall, I feel this product would do the job. It is quiet and efficient. It did take me a few minutes to locate the MAX line for filling. I am used to them being on the side of filling container -not at top and it blends into the black. For my first use, I used some essential oils and could actually smell them. I have used previous humidifiers with same feature that I couldn’t smell a thing. I like the touch screen for controls. It’s easy to control. The only negative for me was the size. I feel like it’s a little big. I’m used to more compact and not tower shaped. Overall, seems built well and durable.

I have had this running in my master bedroom for a few days and it is so quiet. I don’t even notice when it start running. It is easy to fill and operate. I gave the small portable one to my oldest daughter today. She is feeling under the weather and is using it at her desk. So easy!

I used this in the main living floor of the house. It’s quiet. I love that you can put essential oil in the diffuser. It has hot and cool air and on a humidistat so I don’t have to worry about over humidifying the area. It’s perfect for my families needs.

The humidifier works great. I love the ease of the buttons..The water tank is a nice size and lasts a long time. I really like that it dehumidifies. It's a great feature and works well. I don't feel dried up as much while it's in use. The portable unit is great to travel with as well.

This Homedics top fill humidifier is well built. I bought this for those cold, dry winter months. The humidifier is very simple to setup. The top fill tank was easy to take out, clean and fill— this is so important because you don’t want mold or bacteria to grow.

I received this to help my son sleep better at night. He has alergies and st night he gets congested. I use the cool mist part along with eucalyptus amd lavender essential oil. It seems to be helping him so far. It doesnt take up much space. I also use the portable one whe. We go to our lake house. He has been sleeping better since we started using it. I havent had it long enough to use the automated cleaning part of the unit so I cant comment on that part yet.
