Very nice features!

We've had this TV for about 7 months and so far it's very good! The picture quality is great and I love that I can easily cast to it from all of my devices. Sometimes, it does freeze for no apparent reason and we will have to unplug it from the outlet, sort of like a reboot I guess, to get everything back in sync. That's pretty annoying when it happens, but it doesn't happen a lot. We thought it may have been our internet connection but no other devices have had that problem.

Great picture but I can't get 4K on SmartCast

I didn't have a TV for a while, so I don't have something to compare this with, but I think the picture quality is great. One negative is that although this is supposed to be 4K, watching Hulu/Netflix and others through SmartCast only gives me 1080p. But I have a 4K Roku attached, and that comes through as 2160p, so it's not a big deal. This is a great TV overall at such great price.

High on quality - low on price

I bought this TV for a secondary room, so I didn't need the top of the line model. I have the Vizio M50 in my den for primary watching and it's a great TV. But I cannot tell the difference between the M50 and the V505 other than the $200 in my pocket. Save some cash and get this TV.

Can't go wrong with Vizio

I had my last Vizio for almost 12 years & although it still worked like a champ, it was time to upgrade. The 58” V-Series seemed like a no brainer. It's a great size & you can't beat the price. So far it's been outstanding. The picture is great, super easy to use/navigate & I love the SmartCast feature, tons of great apps, I don't think I've switched over to regular cable since I bought this two months ago. I'm not a huge tech person but the built in USB, AirPlay & Chromecast features are also winners in my book. Not that it's a deal breaker but I wish I was able to connect headphones via Bluetooth & a voice remote option would be nice. All in all, great TV for the price, I'm super happy & if it's anything like my last Vizio, these babies are built to last.

Fantastic picture

Great Picture but remote is hard to get use too. It is difficult to find the control buttons and is finicky to press them precisely. There is not direct controls to switch back and forth between TV source (i.e. Cable, Antenna etc.) and internet apps such as Netflicks, Prime Video, YouTube ect.

Not what we hoped for

We've had nothing but issues with this TV since we got it. Volume control from the remote lags. Doesn't work half the time. The TV has froze multiple times and has to be factory reset. Sometimes it won't even turn on/off with the Manuel power button. We have to unplug the power cord. Doing research before purchasing the TV, vizio was best on the market. We won't be going with vizio again.

Love all the apps. Hate the glitches

My boyfriend bought this for me for Christmas and love it. Big screen. Lots of apps. It glitches though. The smart cast is always “loading”. I had to factory reset my tv and it was good for awhile but just last night again the screen glitches and goes in and out.

Great picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv about 5 years ago, and it still works excellent. The picture quality is excellent, but I don't think it's quite as 'crisp' as it was during the first year or two. The only other thing that has always been pretty annoying is that I have to manually clear the cache quite frequently, by unplugging the television and then holding down the power button (in the back) for 10 secs. It seems to be required more and more frequently also (almost daily at this point), or else it just freezes... it's just annoying, but then the tv works fine again. Also, the app seems to be garbage. It only works every once in a while. Most of the time it won't "find" my tv. Lastly, and probably the worst thing about it, is that it doesn't have the mlb.tv app, which makes absolutely no sense to me. But, there's literally no way to use my subscription on this tv without spending a ton more money. I should just be able to download the app and login. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought it.

Not compatible in your region

Despite the good quality of image the TV had, i had to return it since the SmartCast service does not work at all in Mexico. Unlike other smart TVs which allow you to at least download other apps that do work in your region, this TV simply refuses to let you do ANYTHING if you are not connected to a US based internet service. Unfortunately this basically made the SmartCast 3.0 TV into an ordinary monitor which only works for playing something through an HDMI connection. The quality of the TV seemed great, however if VIZIO worked a little harder on making its products functional in BOTH of the USAs bordering countries, we wouldn't have had to return the TV and change it for a Samsung TV. I would have thought the TV would have worked in Mexico since the initial setup even asks if you're in Mexico, USA or Canada in order to properly configure the TV.

Picture is really good!

I bought this Black Friday of 2019. I think when updates are applied it makes the start up for the tv act up and bug out to the point I have to turn off and on my tv multiple times. I think some apps should be added to the Home Screen such as HBO Max.
