VIZIO makes outstanding TV's!
For Christmas I bought myself a 55" Samsung Smart TV; the sound was terrible and the motion blur was even worse! I went through everything I could in the settings to no avail. I boxed it up and returned it and purchased my VIZIO V-Series 55" Class 4K HDR Smart TV. I absolutely love it! It wins over Samsung hands down in everyway! The Smartcast is exponentially better than Samsung and I don't see the motion blur when I watch football. I love VIZIO!
Not to happy
I just recently bought this tv a month and half ago and I'm not to happy with it. I expected something of better quality, being that it's from vizio. But I wasn't impressed with the picture and sound. But I told myself to deal with it even after I saw better brands for sell online for either the same price or a little less. But I kept it moving and didn't dwell on it. But then a couple weeks ago I started to notice that when I turn on the TV no sound would come out of the speakers until I pushed the watch for free button and then click back over to my cable box. Don't know why it started doing this, and I didn't change any settings on the TV or the cable box
Wonderful TV
I had first purchased this to and brought it home and it didn't work, the remote didn't work right and we could only get Netflix... so I returned it but knew there was no way that's how the tv worked so I trusted Visio and repurchased the exact same TV and it's fabulous ... the entire family enjoys the picture quality and the HUGE amount of channels we can get. I'm so grateful the first one was just an accidental situation
Perfect fit for our household
We were looking to upgrade our TV to something a little larger and more modern. The Vizio not only fit our space perfectly, but its built in stand was tall enough to allow for clearance of our sound bar and avoid using a universal stand that took up a lot of space around our entertainment center. The video quality is fantastic (as far as I can tell) and we have the audio run through our receiver and it sounds noticeably better than our previous TV. In addition, the set up was intuitive and simple. I have poor vision and the quality of the display is fantastic. I can actually read it when a show has text messages as part of the dialogue or expects you to read a hand written note. That was impossible on our previous TV. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone.
Awesome picture and sound
I purchased this tv after much research. The features are perfect for most setups. There are enough HDMI connections to hook up a cable box, blue ray/dvd player and a sound bar. The picture delivers depth and clarity. The speakers provide adequate volume to fill the average size room.
Great Deal!
I bought this a while back. After getting to use it and being able to Explore everything it had to offer, I have came to a conclusion, that it is really hard to beat. It's a great budget tv. That's why I bought it in the first place. That and it was my first 4K TV. It is HDR10 ready and the Vizio Watch Free built in apps are second to none. You get well over 150 channels free! And that was a few months back. They are constantly adding more apps and channels and keep everything up to date. All you have to do is connect to wifi to use the Watch Free feature and all the other great apps. My brother has Dish and I haven't used the satellite box since I bought this tv. That was over 6 months ago. It has Chromecast built in and you can stream apps from all your devices to this tv seamlessly. It's great for cord cutters. It has great sound with Dolby Digital and surround sound options. I have been a Vizio consumer for over 20 years now and this only confirms that they are at the top of their game, supplying people with affordable and high quality products. Im sorry that I had to rush this review but I promise, if you want a top notch affordable tv with lots of streaming capabilities and 4K UHD... You can't go wrong with this!
Great value in a large screen 4K Smart TV!
Bought this to replace an older 55" unit and, boy, what a difference! Picture is clear and the smart features are great on this TV. Especially love the built-in free channel programming that allows me to view other channels not available via cable package. Everything works seamlessly.
Poor Picture Quality and Constant need to Reboot
Pros: Price is right, Watch Free app Cons: Picture is poor and color is too bright and washed out. If you try to adjust the contrast it dims it but doesn't improve the clarity. Picture definition is about that of a TV 15 years ago. The TV has to be rebooted when you switch between streaming and regular cable and sometimes when you turn the tv on - there is sound but no picture until you reboot either through the menu prompt or by unplugging and replugging the TV. Also there is a delay and stutter in reception when changing channels. And while others have stated they had issues with sound / sound quality I did not. Also, others had stated that there is no way to download apps - I have not yet verified this but if that is true then that is just another negative with this unit. Although the price and specs appeared to be favorable there are just Too many CONS vs PROS to recommend this TV.
Great features!
This was a replacement TV to my previous Vizio. I've loved Vizio products for quite some time now. I needed to upgrade to get all the newer technology, especially 4K. Let me tell you if was worth it. I got all the newer technology features with a great price too. I highly recommend Vizio to all my friends and family.
Incredible Value!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall Impression: The 70-inch Vizio V series is a very impressive set! It has a great picture for all content types, supports all HDR formats, works awesome for gaming, and supports Dolby sound. It is a great looking set too. The V series is really an incredible value! For a more detailed analysis, continue reading my full review. Build Quality: The build quality of this set is great, and the feet feel solid and sturdy. The bezel looks good and provides a border on the outside of the screen without distracting attention away from the screen itself. Overall Picture Quality: This picture on this set looks really great for movies, TV, and games. I viewed content in most popular formats: 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4k, and 4k HDR. I didn't notice any issues with any of these formats. The images were displayed properly in every case, and I never had any problems. The contrast ratio is very impressive on the V series. Black uniformity is great, and the blacks are very dark. Colors are bold and bright, especially with HDR content. The screen handles reflections well, so that lights in the background shouldn't affect the overall experience. The colors look good right out of the box, so I didn't need to change the color or contrast settings before I could start enjoying the 70 inch V series. HDR Content: The Vizio V series fully supports all popular HDR formats. The supported formats are HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Vizio is one of the only manufacturers to utilize every format, which in my opinion is a huge benefit not only to the V series, but Vizio in general. I was very impressed with the HDR movies that I watched on this set. With bright colors, beautiful highlights and an overall impressive picture, the V series displays HDR content very well. Gaming: Gaming on my Xbox Series X felt crisp and games looked great on the V Series. Input lag is very low on this TV, which is a great thing when gaming. I play a lot of first-person shooters, and playing on the 70 inch V series felt like a dream. This is a great TV for gaming! Sound: The V series has a decent sounding set of speakers, and also has the ability to connect to a receiver or soundbar. It supports Dolby sound, including Dolby Digital via ARC, and Dolby Atmos via eARC. I have my V series set up with a Vizio 5.1 soundbar, and the sound quality is incredible! Inputs & Connections: This TV has 3 HDMI inputs, one composite input, one USB input, one cable antenna input, and an ethernet plug if you don't want to connect via wireless. It also features an optical audio out. ARC and eARC are both supported via one of the HDMI inputs. Entertainment Menu (SmartCast): Vizio uses SmartCast, which is a great entertainment interface for all of your popular movie and TV apps. All your Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV and more can be found here. There are many apps available to add to SmartCast as well, and the ability to customize the menu to your liking is nice. Overall, it is an excellent, easy to use interface.
