99% of the time its amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this TV for 2-3 years and its a great TV! They keep improving on the ‘smart tv' side with updates. The only flaw is on rare occasions the apps can freeze up and you get stuck and basically have to unplug your TV to reboot it. Then all works well again.

Great features, easy navigation, wonderful picture

I bought this a few weeks ago after comparing similar brands and finding this to be the most "bang for your buck". I was hesitant about a Vizio at first but what I quickly realize, they did not hesitate when designing this thing. Remote makes it extremely easy to go right into apps like Netflix and Prime Video. You can also download their remote on your phone so when the remote goes missing, you can still work the TV. You can also link the tv to alexa, though I find Alexa runs into trouble following commands that arent turn on/off the tv. Setup was a breeze. We received several compliments already about the picture quality. Pros: Price, Features, Picture Cons: Alexa-enabled feature doesn't open specific titles or apps, No voice navigation button.

Practical

I heart this tv. For the price, it's just what I needed for my mom space. I bought the tv for my bedroom, it's sleek and has a good picture, but lately I'm having issues with various apps. Hopefully it will not be a long term issue, seeing as how it's four different apps I'm getting a little nervous. I've had it about a month now and appreciate the variety of apps and access to everythinggg as well as the sleek controller I lose in my bed that has six shortcuts. So far, I'm content. And to preface this review, I am typically more frugal with my five stars.

Good TV

I bought this Vizio for two reasons: First, wanted to see what smart TVS were all about and second, I really liked my previous Vizio. On the first reason, this TV has soooo many options as likely all smart TVs do that I was pleasantly surprised and amazed. On the second reason, I was not as pleased. One great feature of my previous Vizio was the ability to look look at future programming on a over the air channel, I miss that. Second, the text that describes the channel and the current show is too small and nor adjustable. I almost brought the TV back since this was not an issue with my previous Vizio. Overall, a goood TV, but in this day and age of everything digital, should not be hard to make the interface much more customizable.

Great quality for price

I love my TV. The sound and picture quality is pretty amazing plus it is very easy to use and compatible with all streaming platforms. My only complaint is that it does have the tendency to stop streaming and the mute will come on at random times. It's a little annoying but overall it's well worth it!

Love Our New Vizio

Almost didn't buy another Vizio TV. We have 5 of them in the house right now. All are in excellent working condition, except for the 55" smart tv that we purchased 4 years ago. It just died on us. I thought that perhaps Vizio tvs weren't as good as they used to be, and almost went to another brand, since our others are all older than 4 years. But, we decided to try again and purchased this 60" Vizio. This one is wonderful, as were most of our others. I just hope that this one lasts a bit longer :-)

Not as great as it used to be

This is my second vizio television, as my best friend has one and it appeared to me to be the gold standard in smart TVs. I don't know what's changed, but boy has the quality of this product taken a nose dive in the last four or five years. I don't think I will purchase another one, as I had planned to.

VERY POOR planning in firmware and manual tuning.

Since the "Watchfree+" option CANNOT be turned off and seems to control EVERY aspect of this television I cannot say anything good about this unit. The "Watchfree+ feature" takes control of the over-the-air antenna tuner and constantly tries to force the user to watch other unwanted streams instead of the over-the-air channels I want. Not to mention, that tuning those channels through Watchfree+ instead of through the built-in tuner results in VERY poor picture quality- (fuzzy, blurry, appears to be low-res)- this is not why I purchased this TV. The only way to turn this off is to RESET the entire TV and keep the Wi-Fi turned off. This is the only solution I have found to bypass Watchfree+. I have purchased a Roku so I can still see the streams that I want to see through an HDMI input. Cannot recommend VIZIO to any one I know and will never purchase another one of their products. I will not be entering these sweepstakes as I don't want to risk another low quality VIZIO product.

Hello Wil S., our most recent update has introduced your local over the air antenna channels in with VIZIO's WatchFree+ programming, it has not removed any tuner features or abilities, it has relocated them. Your antenna placement and the quality of the signal that it receives will still determine the quality of your picture, the same as it had done before. The channel that Watchfree+ currently resides on, will depend on the input that the TV receives and is told to rest on. Pressing the up and down arrow buttons found around the 'OK' button, will bring up the channel guide. While the guide is on screen, holding the 'OK' button down will display a list of categories as well! Pressing the WatchFree+ button on your remote will bring up an on-screen number pad to enter channel numbers. The update has been done in response to customer feedback like yours to provide you with more features and content like access to hundreds of more free movies and channels, as well as the ability to provide you with an onscreen guide of your local channels. If you have any questions about the new features or need any assistance with issues, please reach out to our support agents through text message, chat, or over the phone. Just go to support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’.

Neat but not quite as expected

Overall I like this TV. It is a bit more grainy than I expected but you hardly notice once you get caught up in the show or movie. My biggest issue is I can't download the channels I watch most. This TV has something called haystack news and they won't livestream either of the 2 local news channels I had on a previous TV. But everything else is pretty good.

Wifi would just drop especially when watching movies on shows like Netflix, or Disney Plus. It cant be our Home Wifi 100% Sure its the TV. Its like a cell phone keeps updating before you know, its not working properly anymore. Not Happy with Vizio we should have gone with Sony or Samsung like in the past never had a problem. Smart TVs not so Smart. We have sent man to the moon but Smart TVs is way too much for us. Our Non Smart Vizio 1st gen still alive and working today No Glitches but this smart TV oh boy I tell ya.
