ALL TV manufacturers have forgotten about the ELDERLY. Screens should be made simpler. It should be where the HOME screen shows ONLY icons for what the person wants (i.e.: TV stations & Netflix). There should be a way to LOCK either the remote or the tv so an elderly person can't arbitrarily get into areas they shouldn't. Remotes need to have bigger buttons and LIGHTS (I had to purchase a "universal remote" with these features.) Printing on screen needs to be easily viewed from a living room chair or bed (the "INPUT" options necessary to go from Netflix to TV Stations is TINY & barely seen amongst the busy HOME screen. Please think of the elderly, disabled, and anyone who struggles with ALL of this technology!!!! The RCA Roku (which I returned) allowed the HOME screen to be less busy, but per RCA, Roku, & Jasco, NO Roku TV will acknowledge # keys to go directly to a specific TV station. At 98 yrs old, she shouldn't have to push an arrow 50 times to get to a station! SHAME ON MANUFACTURERS!!!!

We needed a good quality 4K TV to fit a cabinet that will only accommodate a TV with a 40 inch diagonal. The VIZIO 40" refurbished was the only available 4K option. It came within a few days in the original packaging, and looked like a new one to me. Setup was easy and the picture is outstanding.

I bought this a month ago to replace a 42" Vizio in the bedroom that started to get a line horizontally. Very easy to set up, and we like the extra vision area, and the clarity is superb. I moved the other one in the den where I have no cable, but plugged in an inexpensive antenna, and it works fine. We have 4 other Vizio TV's in the house, and are a fan. One lasted 8 years - the others still work fine.

I have fallen is LOVE with Vizio products period 100% I own 7 TVs and 5 of them are Vizio!!! The pictures, quality , images and all is absolutely amazing!!! I own a Sony tv too but I must say Vizio has better quality than Sony and my Sony tv coated me triple the price of the Vizio... I will never ever buy any other brand then Vizio ever again!!! At that time 4K (2160p) displays were the mainstream standard, with HDR (High Dynamic Range) being the new must-have feature for Ultra-HD home theater displays. Since then, 4K HDR Smart TV's with improved Stream/Casting features have become the market standard. For the 2021 model year, VIZIO has adapted by dividing their HDTV product lines between value-driven and premium-feature consumers. In this review, I test the VIZIO V585x-H1 58″ 4K HDR Smart TV. This review covers the 58″ VIZIO V585x-H1 model, which joins a wide selection of value-priced 4K displays available in the following size classes: 40″, 43″ 50″, 55″, 58″, 60″ 65″, 70″, and 75″. VIZIO's entire V-Series shares identical performance hardware features and connectivity options, regardless of panel size-class. Each arrives with a one-year VIZIO Parts & Labor warranty, and free Lifetime Technical Support. Panels on VIZIO V-series displays deliver a 60 Hz effective refresh rate, and presented in 16:9 aspect ratio. VIZIO's proprietary Ultra Color Spectrum technology delivers a wide color gamut, and offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 200,000:1. VIZIO V-Series black levels are reproduced by a full-array local dimming solution, which is to be expected considering their value pricing. VIZIO's M- and P-series panels offer increasingly-impressive local dimming zones that deliver incredible black levels – for an added price. Smart TV's have come a long way since their introduction, and VIZIO's SmartCast 4.0 technology proves that point with widespread compatibility for their budget V-series lineup. Every popular streaming app is supported, but if you find yourself wanting to ‘cast' to the TV from another device, it can be done from any of the following platforms: Android 4.4+, iOS 9.0+, Mac OS 10.9+, Chrome 28+, and Windows 7+. While offered to the value market, the backside of V-series Smart TVs deliver some premium features not typically available at this price segment. 4K HDR panels aside, you get a wide array of connectivity options: three HDMI 2.1 ports, Composite, Ethernet, USB 2.0, and an over-the-air TV tuner – something not available on many 4K displays. Two rear/bottom-firing 10W speakers offer decent audio output, with good mid and high-range reproduction. If all else fails, a basic set of power, volume, and input select buttons are available at the side of the display. Much of 2020 has been spent at home, with plenty of free time consumed by seeking relief in front of the TV. These conditions push value to the forefront of consumer concerns, and place added interest in the market segment. VIZIO's 2021 V-series models account for this, and strike the ideal balance of premium features with budget-friendly pricing. For under $300 you get a 58-inch 4K UHD display with HDR10+ support, versatile casting compatibility, full streaming service support, a wide variety of input and output connections, and VIZIO's new V-Gaming Engine featuring Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) with AMD FreeSync. As I evaluated the VIZIO V585x-H1, it was difficult to avoid comparisons to the M-series products that I already own. Really, there were only two standout features missing from V-series: 1) Wireless-AC compatibility, which, if I'm being honest, has no perceivable impact on streaming service quality when compared against Wireless-N, and 2) local dimming zones for darker black levels, which are actually still nice and dark with full-array local dimming. I've handled this 58″ VIZIO V585x-H1 display more than most people will handle their home theater television during its entire product lifetime. I've wall mounted it, and moved it to three different table top locations. I've turned it over several times, and handled it while going up and down stairs. This display is very rigid, and quite durable. VIZIO provides a one-year warranty to the original purchaser against defect in materials and workmanship for non-commercial usage and ninety (90) days of commercial use. Limited technical support is provided for the life of this product. If a SmartCast M-series product covered by warranty is defective, VIZIO will either repair or replace the unit. I bought this tv for my master bedroom not realizing how many features come preloaded on the tv. I was going to take the cable box out of my kid's play room but no need! Between Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock and Visio tv- there is plenty to watch! The picture quality is very good! We have much more expensive televisions in our home and this is just as good, if not better. For the price- this was a fabulous purchase! It's lightweight too - super easy to wall mount! I would buy this again and recommend it to friends and family.

I've been wanting a smart TV for a while, and my family has gone with VIZIO products in the past. I thought this would be great for my streaming. Add and delete apps just like any other smart tv. NOPE! I can't delete the plethora of unnecessary apps off the home screen. I don't use even half of them. It's great I can access other apps from my phone, but if I lost that or it was broken, I couldn't access for example HBO or YouTube since it isn't on the TV. I do like the watchfree feature. It's refreshing being able to basically watch cable.

I know someone with a Vizio, and the first thing that struck me was the clarity of the picture. Amazing, so glad I purchased one. The Dolby 50" has it's drawbacks, one is the audio. I don't have it running thru a sound system, just the TV audio, which does not have the depth and quality of sound I expected, but overall wonderful product.

I bought this TV a couple of months ago, and after a few issues that were resolved by Vizio customer service, I love this TV. The picture is great and responds to adjustments. There are so much that is factory canned into this TV, it's just a learning curve to get to it all. Overall a beautiful TV!!

I bought this tv about 2 months ago. It was easy to set up and has been working great. It has all the apps that I need and no more need for my fire tv. The wifi connection seems more stable than my previous tv and the picture is great. For the price and quality I couldn't be happier. I did have one problem a few days after having the tv but I called the concierge number and they helped me correct it and no problems since. Very happy with my purchase!
