Best 40" 4K TV on the Market and Very Affordable

I was looking for the smallest 4K TV, that was available, to mount on the wall of my office; this Vizio 40" 4K HDR Smart TV met the criteria! It had a great picture, good reviews, weighs only 15-lbs, and a very affordably price! After a month of use, I'm happy with this purchase, accessing all the smart TV features is fairly easy!

Excellent!

We have loved our Visio purchase! It was very easy to set up, came with great free programming and we were able to easily connect our Apple devices. With Netflix, YouTube TV and YouTube apps already installed, we were instantly watching our favorite content. The picture and sound are also wonderful!

Sound is horrible!

The picture is great, sound is horrible. I turn it up, but still cannot hear what people are saying in the television shows or movies that I am watching, but when there is music, or a commercial, it is so loud that it hurts my ears. Also, apps cannot be added to this model.

Great TV

I've had the TV for a week and a half and gotten a lot of use out of it. The apps work great. The picture is awesome (though I did come from an older tv that couldn't even handle 1080p so take that with a grain of salt). Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Great features for the money.

The VIZIO V-Series 50" Class 4K Smart TV | V505-H1 is a great step for early cord cutters. The features included in the TV are great and easily explained in the manual if the need arises. Up and running within 1/2 hour. Plenty of WatchFree channels, which is a plus for the monthly bill cost conscious. The only upgrade I would suggest is more current selections for streaming services but maybe they are coming down the road. A great value for the money.

Streaming Problems

We have always had good luck with Vizio, so when our old TV went out, Vizio was the brand we wanted to go with. We felt the price of this TV was reasonable and within our budget. Since we have Hulu and Netflix subscriptions, we were happy this TV came equipped with those apps, as well as many others. Unfortunately, however, the streaming itself has been nothing but problems. It continually freezes and stalls, and when we try to get our local channels through SmartCast, we usually have to end up unplugging and re-plugging the TV in to get it to un-freeze. Regardless if this is a so-called "budget" TV, it's not worth the price. Sadly, we are very disappointed with this TV and will likely return it to the store.

Great value

Nice picture and streaming features. The only problem so far is that when streaming spotify from my phone, the TV stops the music when the song ends, so I have to hit "play" on my phone every song. Searching online, it seems like a long-standing problem.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought new 75” Vizio tv and then purchased the 5.1 sound bar system. Both are great items and work well together. Had little difficulty getting speakers to work but after researching a bit, sounds great!

Great Picture, Too Many Unnecessary Apps

I've been wanting a smart TV for a while, and my family has gone with VIZIO products in the past. I thought this would be great for my streaming. Add and delete apps just like any other smart tv. NOPE! I can't delete the plethora of unnecessary apps off the home screen. I don't use even half of them. It's great I can access other apps from my phone, but if I lost that or it was broken, I couldn't access for example HBO or YouTube since it isn't on the TV. I do like the watchfree feature. It's refreshing being able to basically watch cable.

It's OK but I wont buy another one

Owned this smart TV about 2 months and have had to do a complete reset twice now due to features on the remote stopping working and the app screen going blank. A web search app is not included and can't be added. This is a big disappointment for me also. Most times I turn on the set, it will not start up where I left off. There is no guide for the over the air TV channels that let me know what is on currently or info about a show. Not to be all negative, the Watch Free App is nice and I do find some channels there that interest me. Picture is sharp and clear as I expected it to be.
