Great TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the tv, good sound and picture quality. Never had any problems with it. Always had a Roku tv until we bought the Vizio and have been quite impressed. My only complaint is that something happened and the top 1/4 of the screen is darker. Not sure if that was operator error and someone bumped it with something or an electrical issue. Still works but annoying that part of the screen is darker.

Great TV

I bought this TV a few weeks ago and so far it's better than my last Samsung. The picture quality is crisp and the in apps makes transitioning from app to app very easy. This is my first Vizio and it definitely will not be my last. The only issue I have noticed is sometimes it is difficult to cast from your device to the TV. I'm not sure if it is the signal strength or the device. For now, I will give this Product 4 stars until I determine what the issue is.

Really Smart Television

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This television does it all. Vizio never disappoints. The pre loaded apps are awesome. I love the built in Free Watch, and my kids love it also. Casting is such a breeze, my devices have no problem detecting my television. Overall this television is everything.

problems

i purchased my 55" Vizio and within a year it went kuput. Vizio sent me a refurbished 55" tv. now i am waiting for Vizio to send me a brand new 55" tv to replace the refurbished one that they sent to me in replace of the one i purchased that went kuput within a year. i am really satisified with Vizio's customer service as all techs and supervisors is have talked to have treated me fantastic and helped me. as to their practice of replacing onrginally purchased tv that go kuput within the warranty timeline with refurbished tv, it stinks. again i am very sastified with Vizio's customer service and when my tv is not screwing up, i really am satisfied with the picture and operation of it.

Good tv

I like the tv you can't add apps to the Tv tho and for some reason if I leave it on all day and night it will keep playing the show I'm watching but it switches to the Home Screen while doing this on its own not sure why but other than those two things it's a nice tv

A few hiccups but easily cured!

I bought this on 12/06/2019 and out of the box, ethernet would not work. It would only download updates over wireless and it took over an hour and a half. Once all the updates installed, Ethernet started working but the display defaulted to SmartCast mode with a pop up touting some feature, and the remote wouldn't work except for the power button. This put me in an infinite boot loop with the TV for about 20 minutes and -- on a whim -- I hit power on the remote, unplugged the TV, held power on the remote for 5 seconds, plugged the TV back in, and pressed power on the remote. This time, the remote started working. This indicated to me that TV's RAM was still using the modules for the remote from the shipped firmware instead the updated firmware since the update process only does warm reboots when a cold power cycle was necessary. After that, smooth sailing with the TV until I discovered what I hope is another firmware bug: I have a soundbar that supports Optical, Analog, and Bluetooth audio input, and with this TV, I opted to use an Optical cable which works excellent with my FireStick, my PS3, my PS4, and SmartCast ... but does NOT work in OTA Antenna mode. I didn't want to use the included LINE IN/OUT cables from the TV but until this issue if fixed, it's necessary but redundant and needs to be addressed in future firmware updates.

Bad Apple

I bought this TV and took many hours to hook up to our dish within 3 hours lost picture and then the TV wouldn't come back on. Then spoke to your customer service which could not help after multiple hours. Returned the TV for a credit and purchased a different brand with No issues.

I like it

Great picture! Love everything about it with the exception of a few controls I've had on previous TVs: the sleep timer is not as easily accessible, and there are no on/of timers. Other than those two features it's a great tv. Also, the SmartCast Mobile app kinda doesn't work half the time.

Great large TV for a tight budget...

I've had it for over a year now and haven't had many major issues. The few times it gave me a software issue, it was fixed by unplugging it and plugging it back in. It will make for a great secondary TV in bedrooms where you won't have wide viewing angle or next-gen console performance requirements.

Overall A Nice Television with One Drawback

I have had this TV for about 6 months and am overall satisfied with it. Occasionally large deep black areas in the picture get a bit "blockey" but that may be a stream issue as most of my watching is things like Netflix through a Roku box (yes, Netflix is built into the TV, but I use several other apps not built into the TV). I have two issues related with sound. One: overall the sound is so low that I regularly have to set the sound setting at about 75% even for normal conversation on shows. Two: I get some annoying sympathetic vibrations (mostly from the back, I believe) at certain mid-frequencies such as the constant background droning sound on board space ships as is common in Science Fiction Movies. This occurs even at lower volumes. This may be a problem unique to my individual TV which is wall-mounted on an articulated base. Still overall I would recommend this television.
