Nice introduction into the smart tv world

The size is incredible updating from a vizio 55 inch. My only gripe is no google play store or availability of funimation app. Also no internet browser my 65 inch Philips smart tv has google play hence access to all my desired apps and web browsers vizio don't continue to get outdone by a lesser competition.

Great TV for the $$

We bought this TV and unfortunately for the first week there was a software issue and nothing worked but live TV and Chromecast. Only a couple of the buttons worked on the remote as well. The gal in Customerservice was amazing and very helpful to let us know that Vizio was working in the issue. About a week later the TV came to life! I love everything now that the TV works. The picture is great as well as the sound. Other than the software problem, for the money I highly recommend this TV!

Great tv, except...

If we had known that there is no app for my PBS Passport shows I would not have bought this tv. The workaround of casting it off your iphone is overly complicated and stupid. I don't want to have to use my phone to watch my tv. I would give this tv a much higher rating if I could watch my favorite shows.

Excellent basic set

Do the V-Series Vizio television set a new standard in viewing? No, but they also do not cost in the thousands. For watching television as most of do, these sets are an excellent value with a sharp picture, the inputs and outputs you need and really easy setup. Definitely one of the best values for the money

OK

Sound quality is fair at best,you will need to get a sound bar to correct.Picture quality is good if you are directly in front of tv but quality drops if you are looking from an angle. Alot of the apps are useless and font size is so small you need to get close to tv to be able to read anything! This will be my last one!!! Next will be Different Brand!!!

Perfect size, good picture, poor interface

I have had a few HD and 4k sets over the past few years, from the likes of Samsung, LG, Vizio, and others. Of all of them, the Vizio has the worst user interface of any of them. Not very intuitive, lacking some controls that are available on other sets, and a menu system that makes you hunt for the setting you're looking for. That said, the picture quality is pretty good, the connectivity options are great, and it is the perfect size for the armoire that used to house a CRT TV a long time ago. Finding a 4k TV in a 40" form factor is difficult, and the picture quality on this one did not disappoint.

Picture is great, price great

Bought a 55" smart tv, great pic, great price. But it will not stay connected to anything. It keeps telling me to register it, I HAVE. Then I have to sign in to all my apps again, It will not stream Spectrum, it did at first, now it won't. I've checked the network settings, etc .. and even factory reset the unit. It's so annoying we just quit watching tv. SHOP AROUND.

The Best Vizio I've Yet Owned...And I've Had Many

I needed a 4K TV of a certain physical size to replace a Vizio that had decided it didn't always want to respond to the remote or the buttons on the side. This was the only issue I've had out of the many Vizios I've owned, and I'd gotten a number of years of service out of the TV, so I was happy to purchase another Vizio. I did look at other brands, but (a) couldn't find the feature mix I wanted (including analog audio outputs) and (b) I couldn't find anything that was the right physical size to fit in the entertainment cabinet. So, I had exactly one choice of product to buy...and everything turned out great. The picture is stunning, the audio is accurate and I enjoy the interface. The audio outputs actually sound better than those of the Vizio I replaced, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm in the media business and really appreciate the quality of the sound and image of this Vizio. I purchased a refurbished unit and it looked absolutely like new. The unit was packaged exceptionally well, which is unheard of for a refurb product. I don't often say it, but so far (only a couple weeks out), I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Has issues

Had this 58 inch Smart Vizio TV for 2 1/2 months. First turn it on the volume takes about 5 minutes to balance up to normal. Otherwise you have to turn the volume very high to hear it. It has buffering issues from time to time were the picture will lag or freeze for a few seconds. Requires unplugging the TV then plugging it back in or doing a reboot. I never had these problems with other TV brands. I own a LG and a TCL. Both the same level of quality as the Vizio. Disappointed in this level of Vizio, maybe their high end TV's preform better

Many apps, but not the one I use the most

While I love the clarity of picture, and the relative ease of navigation, I was disappointed that the one app I used every day on my old TV is not available: Amazon Music. Since I really don't watch much TV, but listen to music almost all my waking hours this is a disappointment. Yes, I could cast it from my smartphone - if I had a smartphone. This TV was a gift from my family, or I would take it back.
