What happened to Bounty paper towels? These are thin, scratchy and feel like a generic/cheap brand (at a branded price point). Bought my usual 12 pack and now stuck with these cheap towels. I will be seeking a new brand unless P&G returns to the quality formulation of the past.

Always buy the select a size to save the environment by using less. P&G could do better by halving the 1/2 sheets by installing a horizonal crease along the 1/2 sheets. Many times, I only use a quarter of a sheet and I'm sure other people do the same thing. Why not go one step further and do more for the environment? I'll continue to use the towels in quarters, as needed, but it seems like an outstanding PR coup for P&G and the environment.

I only use these. I love that I can use the same papertowel repeatedly while prepping meals etc. When I wash/dry my hands, I keep that towel since my hands were clean and use it to wipe up spill from prepping food. One time when my daughter was little, we went to the school playground. It was still very wet from all the condensation. I had 2-3 paper towels in my picnic bag and I used those to dry off several slides and swings. I would just wring it out when it was very wet, and keep on going. I was quite surprised myself! :)

I have always bought Bounty Select A Size, but they feel so different now - thinner, rougher, and they don't tear as easily. There is nothing on the label to indicate a change in the paper towels, so I had no idea they'd be different! Please bring back the old formula or at least explain why they're different. Thanks!

I recently opened a new package and was shocked over the change. When did this happen??? Certainly not Feb 2021 as other posts say since all I use is Bounty and they have been fine until now. They are now rough and not as thick. I have used Bounty my entire life as other brands were like this. Ugh now what am I going to be able to use. These are just terrible. Bring back what they were like all of the other customers have said!! Thank you.

My recent experiences with the quality of Bounty paper towels have been anything but “the quicker picker upper”. The quality has obviously changed recently. They are thin and stiff. They are not as absorbent as they used to be. I can't even tear one off the roll without it ripping. Whatever was done to the quality needs to be undone. I pay a premium price for Bounty and expect a premium product.

I have been using Bounty for decades. We had Bounty in my house growing up too. It was the best on the market for absorbency, softness and holding together when wet. Sometime after Covid, there was a quality change. The towels are thinner, feel cheap and scratchy and tear in half when you try to rip them on the perforated line. If I didn't know better I'd think I was using a generic grocery store brand. I didn't accidentally buy the Essentials line either. Very disappointed in Bounty. I understand wanting to keep the product affordable during an inflationary economy, but don't sacrifice quality. I'd rather pay a little more for the same good quality. After all these years of being a loyal Bounty customer, I'm now on the hunt for a new paper towel brand.

Procter & Gamble, you just don't seem to get it. What we're all talking about here is NOT a quality CONTROL issue; it's an issue of REDUCED quality in the post-September 2022 Bounty paper towels, and a higher price for an inferior product. I've been using BPTs for over half a century because of their consistently high quality. Sadly, I've had no choice but to join the ranks of the "defectors" seeking a better product at a better price point. Gotta give you credit, though, for publishing all these negative comments.

I just have to laugh reading these replies from Bounty, such as this: "We'd like to mention that in February 2023, we upgraded our paper towels so that they deliver improved absorbency. They have a clothlike look and texture to enable messes to be picked up more quickly & completely." In fact, this package I have just bought (in March) shows the exact opposite. These towels used to be soft, absorbent, sturdy, and even reusable--as in while cleaning a big mess, you could ring them out (even rinse them) and keep using them. Now they are stiff, rough paper... not "cloth-like" in the least. A long time ago, I tried out the "Essentials" in place of the Select-A-Size. I didn't like them and decided to keep spending the extra money to have a nicer paper towel that worked so well. It was worth the extra cost. What you have sold me this time is worse than the Essentials used to be, which makes me wonder what you have done to those at this point in time. Come on now. I've used this brand for decades, even when finances were extremely tight, and you've lost me.

Noticed right away that my bounty towels were changed. I have always bought bounty and Charmin. The paper towels are like cheap paper towels no where near what they were and the Charmin ultra soft isn't so soft anymore. what are you doing to what were good products? I guess it is time to switch brands, no sense paying premium prices for a inferior product.
