I bought this three weeks prior to the landfall of Hurricane Irma and it saved my sanity and cash. What I spent on this generator paid for itself in preserving the groceries in my refrigerator and deep freezer. I took it out of the box the day before the storm impacted our area and set it up. When the power went out it fired right up and ran for over 100 consecutive hours before changed the oil. This machine is well worth the money and was very east to set up and operate.

For the money you can not get a better deal. Fast shipping and gen started on first pull. It's not a $1000.00 Honda, but i did not expect that for 200.00. Its for emergency use during power loss and it will work just fine for that. It is amazing that this was offered for 200.00.

This unit has a Ducar motor, apparently I was mistaken in believing that the Blackmax products used Honda motors. The info indicates this is a Chinese knock off of the honda motor, just as good? Followed the instructions, tried to start it with the choke on, after many pulls and three feeble attempts to start I took the choke off, started the second pull.This is only unit I've found that has a full 30 amp circuit breaker on the 30 amp rv outlet and separate 20 amp breakers for the two 20 amp outlets. No (4 prong) twist lock 120/240 but I did not require this, A 30 amp 120 (3 prong) twist lock adapters are available for the rv outlet. connected this to the trailer, it ran the ac and microwave at the same time with no change in the motor, the rv refrigerator was not on. The wheel install was easy. Oil fill was awkward but found a funnel and some plastic tubing and all went well.

I bought this generator a year ago and I only ran it 5 minutes every other month to keep it fresh. Well I finally got to use it because of hurricane Harvey and it performed extremely well. I probably ran it for about 56 hours 14 on and 10 off over 4 days while running two refrigerators, a 7200btu window unit, a large fan, two lamps, and a fish tank filter. In 14 hours it would use roughly 3-3.5 gallons of gas with all of that equipment connected to it. It's not loud being on our back patio. It really made living easier during a hard time. My in-laws are currently borrowing it as they are still without power and they like it too.

i bought this yesterday and put it together today which was easy,put gas in it started good ,but it doesnt produce electricity.read all the instructions ,push reset buttons,tried a drill will not work in any of the 120 outlets,pushed reset buttons over and over,still will not work.tried a drop light 100 WATT BULB WILL NOT WORK.SO I AM NOT GIVING IT NO STARS.now have to drive 50 miles one way to take it back,plus the gas i put into it is a loss.very disappointed.ill try another brand not fooling with the black max no more.i had to give one star to get it to submit ,but if something dont work no stars would be right

Got this, started it up thinking it was going to be too loud. Extremely surprised at how QUIET this generator is! I was able to carry on a conversation in normal tones standing directly at the generator, with no problem hearing the other person! Very pleased.

Bought this the day before Irma. Glad I did. Lights went out at midnight and the storm was supposed to be over us at 2am. Lit this little bad boy up, plugged 2 refrigerators in, my tv, cable, internet, all the lights I needed and it ran for 3 days non stop even after I added a portable AC unit for my bedroom. The only time it chugged down like there was a load on it, was when I make a cup of coffee in my Kurig or cooked a pizza in my toaster oven. It would have been great to have a bigger one to run the water heater and central AC but this sure made our lives comfortable for a few days. Now to drain the gas and hope I never use it again. If I never use it again, it was worth the $100 per day price tag for 3 days. Everyone needs one of these.

Very easy setup, just poured oil and gas in, pulled twice and it started, and ran smoothly. Tried a 1500W heater for 15 minutes and did not sound much different under load, with no vibration and little noise. The pull start was easy, and my wife will be able to start it.

Started on the second pull. Oil port location makes it a little tricky to add in an upright position.Other than that it was easy to set up and worked as advertised. Tested various loads and the motor handled them without a hitch. Having the 2 wheels and folding handle makes it simple to move. Also having 4 - 120V plug-ins as well as a separate RV one is a nice feature.
